Unlike the sprawling, maze-like souks of Marrakech, offer a more relaxed and manageable shopping experience. These souks have a more tranquil atmosphere than other Moroccan souks, making them less overwhelming. The vendors are generally less aggressive, allowing for more leisurely browsing. Essaouira is known for its thuya wood carvings, and you'll find a wide array of beautiful wooden items. Other crafts include textiles, jewelry, leather goods, and local artwork. The souks are relatively easy to navigate, with interconnected streets and alleyways. The locals are generally friendly and welcoming.

Excursion is definitely worth it. It has a nice market. Is quieter aks in Marakech. It has some nice restaurant on site.

It was such a wonderful experience — we had so much fun! Charaf made the long drives enjoyable with traditional Moroccan music, stories about the country’s history, and lots of interesting details. He was incredibly helpful throughout the trip, always patient in explaining everything and making sure we felt comfortable. Tour was good. Had some trouble getting ahold of the agency through Whatsapp and viator. At first they wanted me to pay extra $10 for Riad pick up but then later offered it for free. They don't actually guide you through Essaouira. Overall had good time.

I want to explain a few things to clarify how our tour works, so future guests aren’t surprised: Meeting point: For our shared group tour, the meeting point is in front of Snack Toubkal in Marrakech. Pick‑ups & extra fees: Because it’s a shared group tour, we can’t always coordinate individual pick‑ups for guests who are located far away (especially more than 10 km out). If someone insists on a pickup from a distant location, that may require extra time, schedule adjustments, and cost for the driver, which is why we sometimes ask for an extra fee. Guide in Essaouira: The tour includes a driver and basic support, but a walking local guide inside Essaouira (to guide you through the medina, etc.) is not included as part of the standard shared tour package. If you’d like a guide at the spot, it can be arranged separately. Again, thank you for your review—it helps us improve.
