Essaouira Day Trip from Marrakech

This coastal city situated in the Atlantic ocean is inhabited since prehistoric times and was known as one of the most important trading harbors of north africa. The tour starts by picking you up from your accomodation, then make few stops on the road Once at Essaouira, the driver will drop you off and then during your day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech, you can visit by yourself a few places as mentionned on the activity details. You can have your lunch in Local restaurants which is between 8 to 10€ depending on your budget. Later, you'll meet our driver on the pick up point that you agreed for the pick up to get back to Marrakech at the early evening.

You stop by a restaurant, for coffe or toilet break.
You'll have a quick stop of 10min to see the goats climbing the trees for food as they eat the argan nuts which is a very good ingredients for them and which makes the goat meat in this region one of the best in Morocco due to what they are feeded. People there live on donations, if you want to give them something you're free, if not you're not obligated.
You'll have 2 major stops depending on the time spent driving and the traffic on the road. - You'll see how Moroccan handcraft cosmetic products are made by berber women - You are free to enter or not, it comes back to you - You'll take shots of the Goats climbing argan oil
Essaouira city as a coastal city, located on the atlantic coast and very known for its monuments.
We suggest you to go to this area as this is one of the best things to see in Essaouira, where all fishermen meet with their little blue boats.
The beach is amazing, you can get here for a walk, feets in the water, an amazing feeling, as the water is always around 18°C, or you can use the beach as a Solarium where you can relax and get a sun bath specially in summer.

visit the souks and fish market in a nice town where the wind blows the ocean . we stopped in an argan cooperative at prohibitive prices (400 drhms:100ml) to see the work of women . we were disappointed to be taken for naive and not very sure that the work is not mechanized after seeing electrical appliances...

Good value for money. We had plenty of time to explore in Essaouira. We wandered through the soul, had freshly caught fish for lunch and caught some rays on the beach before our return.
Booked a week advance, had to chase to ensure they can pick us-day before got information booking isn’t a guided tour, food n drinks not included. First we drove off for 10mins with a couple that wasn’t booked for the tour (lack of communication and good checking), Goats place stop was 5mins(rush), oil place 10mins(no point), dropped to go around 4hrs independently (how can one just go around when they don’t know the area) No engagement from the driver at all which made us unsettled and anxious not relaxed at all. For us it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all! I suggest they go on a tour with a different company maybe they can learn a thing or two how they can improve.

First you looked for the cheapest tour which is ours, and then starting looking for gratuities ! You are very mean person ! We want to explain to other travelers what had happened. This gentleman has booked an excursion to Essaouira, the cheapest option which includes only the transfer to Marrakech and transport. 1. This gentleman was contacted the day before by our customer service to organize the pick-up and asked..Not asked but he just wanted to make sure that lunch and drinks was included! for a small price? you should have asked if an overnight stay was also included no! In fact, he has the ticket where is clearly mentioned the inclusions and exclusions. 2. This gentleman reserved for 2 people and came with a child, on the pretext that he did not know how to book for a child! A child = a seat andit is pretty clear. Of course, we were in contact the day before, and he did not mention that they are 2 adults and a child. We didn't want to spoil the trip for him. We were very understanding and we did not ask to pay the extra for his child of 3 years old 3. This gentleman comes later, after he returns to the hotel.. claims not having a guide and lunch and how he will be able to visit the city without a guide !! While he did not book a guide or a lunch, he opted for the group excursion including transport only. The cheapest option !! 4. When we got in touch with him by sending the travel ticket which demonstrates everything: inclusions and exclusions, and that his comment is not at all honest, he ended up blocking us on WhatsApp. Regards, General Manager
My sister and I had a lovely trip to Essaouira. It was quite easy and the money was perfectly spended. You just needed to be infront of you hotel/ hostel at the correct time. We had enough time in Essaouira to see the city and enjoy the beach. We would totally book with Houssine again. He is accomodation and the chats with him are quite interesting.
This trip was really good. Essaouira is a fantastic city, it has history, beauty, architecture,a great souk, and fresh seafood. We arrived in Essaouira at 12 pm and our tour guide waited for us there. it took around 1h and recommend to take the guide ! Many interesting information about this lovely city. We had almost 3 hours free time to spend in Essaouira which was good enough for a small city.
We booked the trip online prior to the trip and received confirmation. Pick up from the hotel was on time and sat back in the minibus for the journey to Essaouira. We stopped for refreshments en route, The next stop was a sight to behold as we saw 🐐 goats climb up the trees to eat the Argan nuts 🤪, seeing is believing!! We then visited a Cooperative that makes perfume, soap, and other smellies from the nuts 🤪. We then went to the seaport of Essaouira which is a working fishing port met our guide who explains the history of the town and showed us around the city, following that we had about Three hours exploring the city ourselves and had a lovely fish 🐠 meal cooked to order after you picked the fish from the stall. Following all this you caught the minibus 🚐 back to Marrakesh. A fantastic day out and one we will return to on next visit to Marrakesh. Highly Recommended.
Due to a misunderstanding regarding return times we never went. The operator was very accepting of this and offered to cancel for free.

As you clarified you did not go with us but we were very understanding and flexible regarding the cancellation policy, since you had a flight at 6:00Pm, while our tour ends around 7:00Pm and 8:00Pm. Then we accepted a last minute full refund. Looking forward to meeting you in the near future
Immunisation beforehand via WhatsApp was very good. We were collected in small van and taken to centre to transfer into minibus-note here there were one too many people so for 5 minutes 4 people had to sit over three seats. Got on the road at 9.05am stopped three times-one for convenience, one to look at goats in a tree, one at an argan oil factory. None of our group got out at the latter two stops so swiftly carried on to Essaouira. Arrived at 1205 and had till 1630 which was great. Left promptly and only made one convenience stop on the way home. Note that these convenience stops cost a small fortune. We paid 800 dirhams for 2 large bottles of water and a packet of biscuits, and there was no negotiations to be had... Arrived home around 1930 traffic in centre was bad. Two negatives to note- there was no hotel drop off despite the tour description saying so...therefore we had to either walk the 20 minutes back to our hotel at the end of a long day or pay for the taxi ride. The other was we booked specifically for an English speaking driver; he only spoke French and Arabic. Luckily my husband knows a little Arabic to communicate timings.
We always like the ocean. Especially to escape from dirty Médina from Marrakech. Essaouira was less annoying. Should have stayed here for a week to go kitesurfing. Ate very good and cheap. Was better than all the high rated restaurants in Marrakech. The goats in the trees are put there, not worth to make a stop. Thanks for the good trip to Essaouira.
