Had an amazing day on the water. My husband and I are huge river/white water people, so we didn’t know what to expect, and though it is still water, we had a wonderful time! Jared was not only very knowledgeable, but also patient and kind! Can’t recommend the experience and the outfitter more! Thanks Jared!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that, even as experienced river runners, you and your husband had such a great time exploring Black Canyon. It means a lot that Jared helped make the experience so memorable with his knowledge, patience, and kindness. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him—he'll really appreciate them! Thanks again for paddling with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure on the Colorado River someday!
113 on the dashboard and we loved the views, water and the guide. Worth the trip and hard was so informative thank you!!
Thank you for paddling with us! Even with temperatures hitting 113°, the cool water, canyon views, and incredible scenery make it a truly unique experience. We're thrilled you enjoyed the trip and that your guide helped bring the area to life with stories and local knowledge. We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you back on the river again someday!
We had a great time on this kayaking tour. We are a family ranging in age from fit 17 year old boy to 50-something year old mom and dad, and the skill and effort involved were appropriate for all of us. In addition to seeing the Emerald Cave, we learned so much about the history, flora, and fauna of the area, and even saw mountain goats and a bald eagle. 10/10 would recommend and would even do this exact trip again!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We love hearing that guests of all ages and experience levels felt comfortable and had a great time on the water. From wildlife sightings to the rich history, flora, and fauna of the canyon, there’s so much magic to experience out here—and spotting a bald eagle and bighorn sheep makes it even more special! We’re honored by the 10/10 recommendation and would absolutely love to take your family out again.
Half-day Emerald Cave Tour with Trek Las Vegas was awesome! The guide, Jared, was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great kayaking experience. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you enjoyed your Half-Day Emerald Cave Tour with us. Jared is incredibly passionate about the river and loves sharing his knowledge while creating a fun, memorable experience for guests. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to paddle with you again soon!
Jack was a fantastic guide and conducted the tour in a very relaxed and friendly manner. His background information about the construction of the Hoover Dam, the animals, and plants was extremely interesting. He had a wide selection of complimentary drinks and snacks available. The scenery was amazing.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great time on the river. We’d love to paddle with you again anytime you’re back in the area!
Highly recommend! Severe wind caused the tour to change but it wasn't cancelled, as long as we were comfortable, and we had a blast! We will definitely be scheduling a tour with them again.
This is such a great reflection of what we always aim for on the water! When the wind picks up, safety and comfort come first—but that doesn’t mean the adventure has to stop. We’re so glad you still had a blast out there! Hope to see you again soon!
Had an amazing experience with this tour. Our guide, Jax, was very knowledgeable, always made sure our needs were met, and was extremely friendly! Would highly recommend this tour, even if you are not in tip-top shape.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear you had an amazing experience. We especially appreciate you mentioning that the tour is enjoyable even if you’re not in tip-top shape — we work hard to create a fun, welcoming experience for all skill levels. We’d love to paddle with you again anytime!
Jared was an amazing tour guide! He was super knowledgeable about everything to do with the canyon. From wildlife, to plants, to history, he had an answer for everything! Even if he wasn't sure he would give one (He would preface that it might not be right). It was great to see some sheep (including one giving birth) as we got closer to Bob's office. With our small group, Jared was more of a friend than a tour guide!
Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re thrilled you had such a memorable time with Jared—he truly loves sharing the wildlife, history, and hidden stories of the canyon (and yes, he’ll definitely give his best educated guess when needed 😄). Seeing bighorn sheep is always special, but witnessing one giving birth is incredibly rare and unforgettable! We’re so glad your small group felt more like friends on an adventure than guests on a tour—that’s exactly the experience we hope to create. Hope to see you back on the river again someday!
Fantastic Jake and Gerald really gave us a wonderful tour including the wildlife. Highly recommended.
Thank you for the wonderful, five-star review! We hope to see you again soon!
Jared and Jake were amazing! They were very knowledgeable about the area's history, wildlife, and plant species. Our group of 4 had a great time; Jared spent extra time before we set out to make sure some of the bigger guys on our group were comfortable for the trip. 100% would go again! My only regret about the trip is booking through Viator rather than their website directly.
Thank you for the amazing review! Jared and Jake will be so happy to hear this. We love making sure every guest feels comfortable before launching, so it means a lot that you noticed the extra care. Sounds like your crew got the full Black Canyon experience between the history, wildlife, and scenery! And we totally agree — booking direct is always the move 😉 Hope we get to paddle with you again someday!
