Nice excursion and good explanation. Beautiful site and not too many people. Definitely recommended. And you may climb the temple
Great ruins that you can walk up. Beautiful view. Great guide who gave very insightful comments. The cenotes was beautiful- beyond expectations Lovely lunch
The Mayan statues at the top of the temple are worth the trip. The cenote was very refreshing after the heat of the jungle!
El Balam was amazing and the tour guide Jesus Cuevas was very well versed on that and all of the Maya history.
Ek Balaam was the best especialy with the knowledge of our guide Jésus. I learned do much about the Mayas, their cultures, and survival up to today.
There is a lot packed into this day, and nothing I would leave out! Ek Balam is smaller and less known than Chichen Itza, but it has the advantage (?) that you are allowed to climb the steep steps of the pyramid. As my kids say, "if the climb up doesn't give you a heart attack, the climb down will!" This is a "must see" for anyone interested in the pre-Hispanic civilizations. The swim in the Cenote was refreshing, and the stops in Uayma and Vallidolid rounded out a diverse set of experiences. Our tour guide, Jesus Cuevas, provided information, photos, maps, and videos along that way that ensured our time en route in the van was not wasted!
Having seen Chichen Itza, and Tulum, I wanted something different. This tour was fantastic. Guide Jesus is Mayan, and conveyed great info during the trip. Cenote and ruins were fantastic!
Dear Steven, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear that our tour offered you a fresh perspective beyond the well-trodden paths of Chichen Itza and Tulum. Having Jesus, with his Mayan heritage, guide you through the journey adds a unique depth that we're proud to offer. It's wonderful to know you enjoyed both the cenote and the ruins - they're some of our favorite spots too! We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you on another adventure in the future. There’s so much more to explore and we’d love to be part of your next journey. Warmest regards, The OlMar Travel Mexico Team
