Itinerary
The tour begins at the Saigon Opera House, which serves as our meeting point in the city center. Guests staying in central districts may also be picked up from nearby hotels. Here you will meet your guide and drivers before starting the experience. Your guide will give a short introduction about the tour, including the neighborhoods we will visit and the local dishes you will try along the way. Before the ride begins, you will receive a helmet and a quick safety briefing for riding on a motorbike in Saigon. Our drivers will explain how to safely get on and off the motorbike before we begin the journey.
Our first stop is Ho Thi Ky Flower Market, the largest flower wholesale market in Ho Chi Minh City. The market began operating in the late 1980s and today it is also famous for its lively street food area, where locals gather to enjoy many delicious dishes. Here you will try several popular Vietnamese street foods such as: • Hu Tieu kho - is a famous dry noodle dish from southern Vietnam. The rice noodles are mixed with a savory sauce and topped with pork, shrimp, and fresh herbs. The broth is served separately, and it is one of the most popular street foods in Saigon. • Bo Lui Sa – grilled beef with lemongrass • Bo La Lot – grilled beef wrapped in betel leaves • Banh Trang Nuong – Vietnamese street-style pizza You can also enjoy a local beer or fresh fruit juice while experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of this local market. Your guide will explain how these dishes are prepared and why they are so popular with local residents.
Next, we ride slowly through Ngo Gia Tu Apartment, one of the most iconic old apartment complexes in Ho Chi Minh City. Built in 1968 during the Vietnam War, it was originally designed to house working-class families and government employees. As we pass through the area, travelers will see rows of aging apartment buildings, small family shops, and daily local activities happening right outside people’s homes. This slow ride allows guests to take photos and observe everyday life in Saigon while learning how generations of residents have lived in these historic buildings.
At this stop, travelers will try Bo Ne, one of the most popular Vietnamese street food dishes. The name “Bo Ne” means “dodging beef,” referring to the sizzling hot iron plate the dish is served on. Tender slices of beef are cooked with eggs, pâté, onions, and a rich savory sauce. It is typically served with fresh Vietnamese bread, perfect for dipping into the flavorful sauce. This dish reflects the unique blend of Vietnamese street food culture and French culinary influence, making it a favorite meal for many locals.
We then continue to District 4, an area surrounded by rivers that was once known as a working-class district. Today, District 4 is famous for some of the best street food in Ho Chi Minh City. At this stop, you will try Banh Xeo, the famous Vietnamese crispy pancake. The dish is served with a variety of fresh herbs and wild vegetables. Your guide will introduce different herbs and explain how locals combine them to create the perfect flavor.
To finish the tour, we enjoy a refreshing Vietnamese coconut ice cream. Coconut plays an important role in Southern Vietnamese cuisine, especially in desserts and drinks. Your guide will explain why coconut is widely used in local dishes and how it reflects the tropical culture and lifestyle of southern Vietnam.

Just finished this food tour in Ho Chi Minh City and honestly, it was so much fun!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The tour was over 3 hours but it didn’t feel long at all. The schedule was super smooth, not rushed, not boring. We went through a lot of small alleys and hidden spots in Saigon that I would never find by myself. Our guide was really nice and easy to talk to. You can tell they have experience, even though the company is still quite new. Everything was well prepared and felt very thoughtful.☺️ The food was great and clean, so I felt very comfortable trying everything. Got to taste many local dishes and all of them were worth it. ✨The whole vibe was just happy and chill, lots of laughs during the trip. Definitely one of the highlights of my time in Saigon. Would recommend!
Thank you for such a lovely review! We’re glad you enjoyed the food, the hidden spots, and the vibe. It means a lot to our small team. Hope to see you again soon! 😊
This was my first time booking a tour here, and I’m so happy I did. Everything was great! The tour guide was very funny and knew a lot about the food. I got to try dishes from Central and Southern Vietnam. My favorite was definitely Bo Ne. Riding on the back of a motorbike around Saigon was such a cool and memorable experience. Even though the weather wasn't very good, the guide was so thoughtful. They even prepared tissues and raincoats for us. It was an unforgettable trip! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to try Vietnamese food and make new friends.
