Tom is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of WWII. He took the time to describe in detail the history of the Eagle’s Nest, Hitler’s Berghof and the Berchtesgaden area. His impressive photo collection offers a unique insight into the inner workings of the Third Riech, it includes many unpublished photographs from the construction of the Tea House as well as some of the renovations made to Hitler’s Berghof. We were also given the opportunity to see some of the behind the scenes sights such as the generation station hidden in the tunnel system beneath the Tea House and the Brass Elevator made for Hitler. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone interested in the history of WWII and the Berchtesgaden area. For us, it was money well spent.

Tom was one of the best tour guides we have ever had and our family has been on numerous of historical tours. His story of how he became so knowledgable about the area and Nazi history is as fascinating as the history itself. We visited many off the beaten paths sites along with the popular ones. And he was able to make the history come alive even in areas where a lot of the original structures have been almost lost. We absolutely loved the full day tour and highly recommend the experience to those that have a keen interest in the history of The Third Reich and WW2.

We hired Tom Lewis for our tour guide for our WWII Historical Tour (Eagle's Nest, Berghof etcetera in Berchtesgaden in May 2024. He picked us up at our hotel on time. Tom was the perfect guide, very knowledgeable (and accurate to boot) and just an all around great Englishman. You would never know Tom did daily tours - he kept everything fresh and interesting like it was his first tour with guests. Highly recommended. JF and Veronique - New Brunswick Canada
