David made such an incredible experience for our family. His passion and knowledge of planes really showed. He paced the day perfectly giving us special insights and allowing us time to roam the planes on our own. Also, couldn’t have had a better day for all the historic planes that were flying in and out of the airfield. Absolutely tremendous! David also shared a beautiful hidden part of London with us that was so special and tied to my historic roots here. What a great day!!!
David is highly knowledgeable, very organized and a great guide. He knows the history, aircraft and the airfield. We were impressed that he was able to find out what planes were flying that day. It was such a great day! I look forward to another trip with him, perhaps the tank museum and RAF museum. He was kind enough to drop my wife off at Cambridge so she wouldn’t be bored by all the planes.
We had a fantastic private tour of IWM Duxford with David Burns from Unearthed London Tours. David is an exceptionally knowledgeable guide and a genuine aviation enthusiast, with an impressive eye for detail and historical accuracy. The entire experience was seamless, from the easy hotel pickup to the well-organised tour, and the price was very reasonable for such a personalised experience. David showed us the hidden corners and stories we would never have discovered on our own, and by the end of the day, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. I honestly wouldn’t recommend visiting Duxford without David. You would miss so much of what makes the museum special.
Duxford is a great "flying museum" and deserves to be on the must-do list for anyone interested in history, especially of history of aircraft. There aren't many places in that you can see (and hear) a Spitfire taking off into the same English skys they did in the 1940s. David was knowledgeable, friendly, and an all around excellent host.
David Burn was an excellent guide and a wealth of knowledge. Our group was totally inspired and satisfied with Davis’s ability in the way he had planned our day. Great day!
What made the trip special was our tour guide. David was extremely kind, competent and knowledgable about Duxford and the area. He was punctual, efficient and was very flexible with what we wanted to get out of the tour. He suggestions for the tour made it even more special for us. Duxford is an amazing place with items very well curated, telling the storyies of British and United States aviation. The US hanger concentrates on USAF aircraft that have been stationed in England since WW2. I was humbled by the glass panels outside that hanger that have a icon for every WW2 US aircraft based in England that lost. Over 7000.
London is a place with so much history you could easily walk by a significant site without noticing. David is your resource to "unearth" the hidden history that might be missed. David added so much to our visit to IWM Duxford, helping us to connect exhibits with the people that lived with them. If you'd like a tour guide that feels like a knowledgeable uncle that has a lot of great stories then this tour is for you. We will definitely contact David for any future sight seeing around London.

Best Day of my two week trip. David is very personable. Really enjoy visiting with him during the trip. We both share a love of aviation. Duxford has an incredible collection of aircraft. Day finished with a great meal at cool location on the Thames to top off the day. Not to be missed!
