Cambridge University Tour by Alumni™ with optional King's Chapel

Description
This is the original Alumni Tour™ — the first of its kind and the most professional experience in the city. Our tours are led by Cambridge students and graduates who combine genuine personal experience with a deep knowledge of the city’s history and architecture. The 90-minute tour includes iconic landmarks like the Corpus Clock, the Mathematical Bridge, and King’s College from the iconic Backs. The tour is entirely outdoors, focusing on Cambridge’s historic streets, squares, and college exteriors. If selected when booking, your experience can be enriched after the walking tour ends with a visit to King’s College Chapel, the absolute crown jewel of English Gothic architecture. You’ll pass through quiet college lanes and back lawns where Isaac Newton revolutionised physics, Charles Darwin developed his theories, and where Stephen Hawking studied and found inspiration. Available in English, 中文, and Español upon request.

Learn about the fascinating story behind the design of this famous clock, noticing the details than an uninformed observer could easily miss!
Visit The Eagle pub—where history lives in every corner, from WWII airmen to the scientists of the nearby Cavendish Laboratory. With over 400 years of history, this pub holds countless remarkable stories.
Discover the place that put Cambridge on the map of the scientific world—a place that changed the history of science and the history of humanity as well.
Listen to your student-guide describe the (somewhat dark!) history of Corpus Christi College, and feel free to ask any questions about the College or student life
Hear about the reason why this is Queens' College rather than Queen's, and discover the myths that abound about the nearby Mathematical Bridge
Walk along by the famous College Backs while you learn about the history of King's College and how it is related to three different King Henrys
Home of some of the most famous Alumni, hear a student's take on the rivalry between Trinity and St John's!
Admire the magnificent profile of St John's College, known for its grand architecture and notable alumni. A perfect blend of history and beauty along the River Cam.
Get a student's perspective on the practice of the public announcement of grades, and get a glimpse into the particular traditions of the University of Cambridge while you hear about the graduation ceremony.
##IMPORTANT: this option must be selected as an upgrade of the walking tour ticket. Please, make sure that you select it. The visit of the chapel is self-guided at the end of the 90 minutes walking tour, and it is not supervised by our official guide. The duration of the visit is a basic approximation, but you can leave the chapel when you prefer.

Evelyn did a great job of explaining the history of the city and architecture. She just graduated and studied history so it was perfect for her to take us around.
Tour guide Evelyn is a recent graduate from Cambridge University and she provided very interesting facts about the prestigious university in the world. My whole family enjoyed the tour very much and i highly recommended to people who want to learn more about everything about the University.
Fantastic experience, loved the history. The tour guide Dr. John was five star!

Our guide Robin was WONDERFUL. Such an interesting tour
We had a great experience with John F. As a historian, he was able to answer all of the questions of our visiting family. He was very personable and we’d absolutely recommend him!
Our train from London was cancelled but Viator moved us to a later tour without any trouble. Evelyn, our guide was excellent! She gave us a clear and detailed picture of life as a student which was so interesting. The punt ride was the least enjoyable part of the tour—the banks are so high, you can’t really see anything.
Evelyn was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient! Not only was she lovely to chat with, she had plenty of interesting facts to share about the university and its traditions. The spots highlighted on the tour were breathtaking, great way to learn about the city and experience its beauty!
Nice tour with Evelyn. She took us around to see several colleges and other building in the center of town and was excellent at explaining the history and practices at Cambridge university.
Evelyn was so nice, she was like a walking sunshine! She knows A LOT fascinating facts about Cambridge’s history. She also told us about universities and student life. I absolutely recommend this tour.
