Wonderful the tour guide was fabulous and very knowkedgeable! the Duomo is amazing. I would highly recommend this tour ! Take the elevator up but it is high and takes awhile to get down the stairs
The guide was a very nice guy. We had to search to find him and he didn’t do much. He sold tickets to Duomo and said go to the museum for about 40 minutes. Then when we came back he brought us through the cathedral for about 45 minutes which was ok. He then said goodbye so we went up the elevator to top of cathedral
The group that would conduct the tour had a signalling and identification of the location of the meeting point so bad that I identified them in time. I asked several people in the vicinity and no one is willing to help. I did not receive a message in time to find the group of the booked time, as the square was very filled I ended up paying a visit directly with the Duomo. I would like a refund.
It was great getting last minute ticket and tour. Tour guide was quite friendly and knowledgeable The description on the web said it included the cost to enter the cathedral. But after you booked in the details, it said it didn’t I have booked these type of tours before, and I never had it where you have to pay again to get into the facility Also, the guy was super knowledgeable about history, but it was really short chat advertised as an hour. I think it was 30 minutes and cost an extra €26. For a total of €86 for 30 minutes.
Mis-sold is all I can say. Understood the fact that we had to spend additional money to get into the Duomo so it was £54 each plus 26 euros each in total. The guide was considerate & knowledgable however when it is billed as a 2 hour event (with rooftop access at your leisure - i.e. not guided which we understood from the description, we literally only had the guide for a total of 20-25 mins - including the queue time to get in to the building. It was such a whistle-stop tour of the main sights & history everyone on the tour felt short-changed when he abruptly left us behind the altar. There were 5 people on the tour - Australian couple and a single US traveller with us 2 Brits. The Duomo itself & the roof access was good. It was the guided bit which was not worth the money.
Whilst the tour guide was very informative, felt the price was high as you still had to purchase the actual admission ticket/s when you met them.
We felt this was slightly misleading. Our guided tour was set for 3:00 and was intended to be two hours. We arrived and were given tickets to access the roof and told to be back at 4:30 for the tour inside the duomo. The interior tour was guided and lasted approximately 40 minutes. We anticipated having a guide for the duration. We could also access the museum with the same ticket but that was not allotted in the two hour time and it was closed once we finished at 5.
We booked a tour for 3 people to the Duomo in Milan, including the lift option, for 65 euro each (booking # 1400214691). When we arrived, we were told by Mario of Tour Weavers that the price we paid did not include the actual ticket and that we would need to pay about an additional 27 euro (about) per person to actually get into the Duomo and that this price would not include the lift. Mario said that he does not include the ticket in the price to reduce the commission paid to Viator. I feel that the service was misrepresented and request a full refund of not only this purchase but also of the purchase of the Sforza Castle booking # 1400213189.
The tour guide Marius is great, very nice and honest. My tour was booked at 11 am, I arrived one hour early , and want visiting the Duomo Museum, I showed Museum staff that I booked a tour, if my tour ticket could be used for visiting the Museum, the staff said I had to buy a ticket to enter it, the tour I booked didn’t include to visit the Museum, Thus I bought a comb ticket for Duomo and Museum ( Museum ticket is not sold separately) at €15. Came out from the Museum, at tour meeting point, I met Marius and told him I’ve bought a ticket to visit the Museum and have been. He said our tour ticket could include visiting the Museum, he refunded me €20 note straightaway and got my comb ticket, he said he would get the ticket refunded. Because I didn’t have any cash with me, couldn’t give him €5 change. He said it’s fine, even he lost €5, he wanted to make his customers happy. Overall the tour was wonderful. Marius’s introduction to the Duomo history was well presented and easy to follow, He’a nice and engaging, all members in the same tour were took care of.
Definitley worth seeing! Beautiful and interesting. Glad we got the lift ride pass as there are a lot of steps!
