Ireland's medieval capital - Kilkenny City. Free time for lunch on arrival. Walking tour included (c.45 minutes) and time for private sightseeing. Castle entrance not included but the Castle Park and Gardens are free of charge and there is time to visit inside the Castle if time is well managed. (Entrance to Castle interior is not included)

Overall day trip was okay. Sites were interesting but felt like we spent more time driving than exploring. I also don’t think the stops warranted an entire day. Kilkenny castle was just a bunch of rooms. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable but he narrated wayyy too much. He talked for the entire 2.5 hour ride there and back. He also sang which I felt was odd and unnecessary. The microphone was so loud I couldn’t even use my headphones to tune out. We took multiple different tour companies during our trip to Ireland and this one I would not do again.
What a great tour! It was worth every penny as our guide, Mac, was a wealth of information and entertainment. We received history, local lore, and Irish songs (sung by Mac) the whole way, with very little downtime. Every location was beautiful and educational. I hope Mac is paid well as the tour company is getting their money's worth out of him! I highly recommend this tour!
A must do tour! Right from the start our tour guide Mac was so welcoming and never failed to make us laugh. I learned so much about the rich history of Ireland…and then some! The tours at Glendalough, The Wicklow Gap and Kilkenny ensured you didn’t miss a THING! We were also given lots of time to explore Glendalogh and Kilkenny for a few hours giving you the opportunity to make the day trip your own! Glendalogh is one of kind and the peaceful ambiance, coupled with the rich religious history made the experience feel so meaningful! You can choose to do a private tour of Kilkenny with Mac or explore in your own. We decided to to explore ourselves but heard great things about it! During our time in Kilkenny we were even able to tour the Kilkenny castle (not included) and grab a pint and food at Kyteler’s Inn. Our driver Andy was wonderful and the views from the bus are spectacular! Mac used the bus microphone and narrated as we drive , sang songs, made us laugh and kept us all safe and sound! During our tourthe army was running drills at the Wicklow Gap and we were told we might not be able to attend, however Andy and Mac were insistent we were able to explore..and we did! While there Mac took pictures for every person in front of the gap! Highly recommend this tour, you will not regret it and it is such a good price ($75 CAD) for the experience and time (10+ hours) you get.
We had a great day with Mac as our tour guide. We chose to go off on our own in Kilkenny for lunch, shopping and inside tour of the castle. Could easily have spent longer in Kilkenny.

Coach bus was easy to locate at pick-up site and at all of the individual stops along the journey. The driver (Martin) did a superb job of navigating some very narrow roads in the Glendalough/Wicklow area. The guide (Mike) filled the time between stops with some history, song and witty banter. The hike at Glendalough to the lakes and Kilkenny Castle were among my favorites for this tour. The amount of time spent at each site felt appropriate. I would recommend this tour.
Great experience. We learned a lot from our guide Michael. He was entertaining and very kind. Martin was an excellent driver as well. We had the perfect amount of time for our stops as well. Highly recommend!
Tour excellent. Mike our guide and Martin the driver were superb and commentary excellent. Plenty of time to see Glenda Loiigh and Kilkenny.- Would thoroughly recommend.
