Dublin Mythology and Folklore Tour with Irish Stories and Legends

Description
This tour is unlike any other in the city; an exploration of Ireland's rich tradition of storytelling, and how those stories have changed the curve of Irish History, shaped the nation, and made Dublin the wonderful city it is. In Ireland, storytelling is more than just a pastime - it's a high art form that has changed the very course of history itself.

Itinerary
Our meeting point is in the very centre of Temple Bar, we will pass through most of the Temple Bar area on our way to Grattan Bridge
We'll explore sites north and south of Dublin's famous waterway
One of the city's favourite bridges that straddle the River Liffey, famous for its ornate, seahorse-adorned lamps, connecting Parliament Street to Capel Street
We stop outside this famous old church and talk about the role it has played in shaping some of the city's secret tales as well as about some of the bodies it holds in its crypt. We also explore the grounds of the old Newgate Prison and Green Street Courthouse, a forgotten little corner of Dublin which has played an important (and all too often untold) role in our country's History
One of the city's most impressive facades and arguably the most important building in the country. We'll stop outside and explore the pivotal role that Irish Mythology plays in shaping modern Irish History
We'll finish up our tour at the foot of Oisin Kelly's famous 'Children Of Sir' Statue, in the centre of Parnell Square

Be ready to get an in depth knowledge of folklore and mythology along with Dublin history - Alan makes it fun, humorous and was a great guide. Highly recommend him!! We did this on our first day in Dublin - made the next days so much more fun with what we knew!
Really enjoyed the tour, Emily was really knowledgeable and looked after the group really well.
Our tour guide Emily was really great, she highlighted all the interesting points we could cover in two hours about Ireland’s Folklore, Mythology and History. I booked this as part of my solo trip and enjoyed it very much! 😊
Alan was a great guide and very knowledgeable. He managed to put quite a bit of humour into his stories.

We had very limited time for our visit in dublin and i really wanted to learn a bit about the mythology and history while i had the chance. This tour was awesome for that, it was a great blend of anchient myhology, how it ties into history and local legends.
This tour was such a unique and worthwhile experience! The tour guide, Helena, is an excellent storyteller, weaving Irish myths and folklore to Irish history as well as today. The walk was very enjoyable and offered a fresh perspective of Dublin, even though I have been living here for the past 5 years. This is a great tour for people of all ages who want to be introduced to a different aspect of Irish culture!
Absolutely fantastic tour! Emily was a very charismatic and knowledgeable guide. I learned so much and she shared several resources so I can continue to learn more about Irish history and folklore. Cannot recommend this enough!
