Begin your journey at the Henry Grattan statue in College Green, where Dublin’s political heart once beat strongest. Explore the origins of College Green as a medieval fairground, its transformation into Ireland’s political center, and its role in shaping modern Irish identity. From College Green, step through the gates of Trinity College Dublin, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Enter the Treasury Building and begin your visit to the world-famous Book of Kells, created around 800 AD by monks of Iona, Scotland and Kells, Ireland
Examine the astonishing detail of the illuminated pages—the swirling Celtic designs, the hidden animals, the golden symbolism—and learn how the manuscript survived Viking raids, political turmoil, and centuries of careful preservation. Next, the tour flows into the Long Room Library upstairs, one of the most breath taking literary spaces in the world.

The Irish Parliament known officially as Dáil Éireann, seat of the modern Irish democracy. Outside Leinster House, discuss the history of the Irish Free State, the evolution of democracy, and the political debates that continue to shape the nation.
We enter the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology for a guided exploration of Ireland’s ancient treasures. Highlights include the beautiful and ancient Tara Brooch, the Ardagh Chalice, and the mysterious bog bodies preserved for over two thousand years. As you weave through exhibits of Viking Dublin, Celtic craftsmanship, and early Christian Ireland, gain a vivid sense of how the island’s story unfolded long before written history. The tour concludes nearby outside Bram Stoker’s former residence, the childhood home of the creator of Dracula. Explore Stoker’s life in Dublin, his inspirations drawn from the city’s folklore, and how a civil servant from Kildare Street created one of the most influential Gothic novels of all time. By the final stop, you will have walked through more than a one and half thousand years of Irish culture and heritage.

We signed up for this tour and showed up to be told that the tour would not go to the Museum of Archaeology. The tour would go to Dublin Castle. I signed up specifically to see the Archaeology museum as it was advertised. I spent alot of money to just visit the Book of Kells. Fraud in advertising. The only reason this is not a 1 star is Alan was a terrific guide for the Book of Kells tour. I am sure I will not get a refund. Be careful and confirm tours as fraud is prevalent!

It appears there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the tour you booked. You went on the wrong tour and didnt contact or inform us. The tour you joined was our Trinity College, Book of Kells and Dublin Castle walking tour. The National Museum of Archaeology is not included in that itinerary, we believe you went with the wrong tour group and didn't not inform us of this.... there are two groups with our company. We take great care to ensure that all tour descriptions accurately reflect the sites visited. It is possible that details from a different tour or attraction were confused with the one booked. Great tour. We loved the flexibility of being able to go at our own pace. Fast in some areas and slower in areas we were much more interested in. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We had the time and focus to get all of our questions answered. Highly recommend.

We had a nice small group with a very knowledgeable host. He pointed out so many historical areas and facts. The pace and duration was good for all ages.

Yes, smaller groups do make a big difference, it lets us get into the detail and bring those juicy little stories to life properly in greater storytelling fashion by taking our time. Keep in mind it's a walking tour so you are not going inside all the places listed but the Book of Kells. Our guide , Noel Quinn, was amazing! Very knowledgeable, very funny! Great time! He was also attentive to our needs and we were able to do this tour and not be late to our next! Add additional time between tours!!
