Fun, vibrant, and great for shopping

We had a great time exploring the newer side of the souks, especially the textile area. This was one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences of our trip—we ended up buying quite a lot. There’s an excellent variety of items: beautiful cashmere scarves, pottery, dresses, jewelry, and just about everything in between. Bargaining is absolutely part of the experience, so don’t be shy—it’s expected and can be fun. This area feels more modern and organized, with plenty of traditional food options alongside familiar spots like Starbucks and McDonald’s. When you’re finished, a great tip is to hop on a boat across the water to the Gold Souks to continue the experience. It’s an easy and enjoyable way to see both sides. Highly recommend for shopping, browsing, and soaking in the atmosphere.

The real Dubai market!

This tour was a challenge. I booked the tour with noticing that it was a walking tour. When we met Fawad the tour guide and we started walking I thought we were looking for the a car or other form of transportation but we just kept walking. At some point I asked Fawad if we were going to walk for a long time and he very kindly told me"Madame you booked a walking tour". I turned around and told my cousin and we were almost crying because it was over 106 degree. Fawad looked back a saw my 4 years old son, my cousin's daughter and I know he felt bad for us. After that moment Fawad gave us extra time to go inside stores were we could cool off and shop around. Fawad went above and beyond making sure we were as comfortable as possible. He didn't mind going back to store that had better prices. Our tour was suppose to be about 60-90 minutes but we went over that time. Fawad was so great that when we finally finished we were red like a tomato and sweating bullets, he took us to the bus stop, but it was so hot and the bus didn't get there fast enough that Mr. Fawad took us to the hotel himself. THANK YOU SO MUCH Mr Fawad On behalf of my family and myself. We really appreciate everything you did for us.
