Activities at the Lahbab Quad Bike Area (Red Dunes) Arrive at the Lahbab Quad Bike Area (Dubai Red Dunes) and begin with a quick but thorough safety briefing. Your guide explains the controls (steering, brakes, throttle) and key riding rules, then you’re fitted with safety gear before heading out. Next, enjoy a 60-minute self-drive quad bike ride across the iconic red dunes, following the Desert Marshal/lead guide along the approved desert trails for a smoother and safer ride. After the ride, try sandboarding down the soft slopes (beginner-friendly), then stop for a scenic photo break to capture the dunes at their best. - Eat light 2–3 hours before dune bashing to reduce motion sickness
- Travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended, especially for self-driving quad biking
- Quad bike is self-drive and fully at the participant’s responsibility; damages, injuries, or lost items are not covered
- Safety briefing before the quad ride; helmets and required safety gear must be worn at all times
- Quad riding route is in a designated area; driving outside the track is not allowed
- Recommended quad bike driving age: 16+ (younger guests can ride only where permitted and/or with adult supervision, per operator rules)
- Licensed safari captains and insured 4×4 vehicles with key safety features: seat belts, roll bars, GPS tracking, and first aid kit
- Wear closed sports shoes for quad biking and sandboarding (no slippers)
- Dress comfy: light clothing in summer; bring a jacket for winter evenings
- Bring sunglasses and a scarf/bandana for sand and wind protection
- Camel ride: children under 12 must ride with an adult
- Henna is optional; avoid if you have sensitive skin
- UAE safety rules: pregnant guests, infants under 3, and guests with back, neck, or heart conditions cannot join dune bashing
- Pickup is within 45 minutes before your selected time; summer timings may shift for safety and you will be notified
- Ramadan note: some entertainment may be limited depending on regulations

Ahsan was our driver and he was as very kind and picked me and my friend up punctually from our residence. We were offered water a lot throughout the journey and he was very helpful during activities. The trip was definitely worth it and the activities were unforgettable ! 10/10 experience.

If you’re wondering if you should book this tour, the answer is no. If you’re wondering why, read on: Abdullah picked us up and we were crammed into the third row of an SUV. Me and my friend are both well over 6 feet tall, so this was incredibly uncomfortable for what turned out to be a ~2 hour drive each way. Abdullah always seemed to be in a massive hurry, honking, tailgating, and swerving throughout the bumpy ride. When we finally arrived at our first stop (ATVs), Abdullah just kept barking orders such as “You Go Now. Hurry! Not fast enough!” It was like we were cattle. The falcon picture was him shoving kids out of the way so we could take about 10 seconds for a picture before he starting barking at us again to get to the ATVs. ATVs by far were the best part, and our ATV guide (different than Abdullah) was great. Amazing experience! After that we were loaded back in the car and drove another ~60 minutes for the “dinner show.” When we got there Abdullah asked if anyone wanted to ride a camel, and then got annoyed when we said yes (that was part of the package). The camel ride lasted all of 10 seconds (I’m not exaggerating), just enough time for them so snap a picture to try to sell you later. The dinner show was a disappointment. It had a very low-budget corporate feel and the performances felt like something you could learn on YouTube in a day. I’m not trying to sound pessimistic here…but it was bad. The food was decent though, it was buffet style. There were probably ~300 people there from all different types of groups. I thought it was a small group in the desert, so maybe I was mistaken about that. But either way, disappointing from what I expected. The entire day I kept thinking “Wow how was this 5 stars??” My answer came when Abdullah was putting air back in the tires after off-roading. Since I was in the third row and the trunk was open, he came around back and sent me a WhatsApp message with review links and said “I sent you link. Review now please. 5 stars only.” I was tired and not about to leave a 5 stars only review, so I said I would do it later. He barked back “No, you do it now! 5 stars.” This went back and forth for a few more times while he grew more aggressive, before I firmly told him I was not leaving a review and he needed to leave me alone. While he was driving, I saw him delete the message from WhatsApp that had the review links in them. It’s too bad for him I could still find them…There was a lot of traffic and it took us another 90 minutes to get home. If you have another guide it would certainly be better. Abdullah was the rudest person we encountered on our entire 2 week long Dubai trip. But even with a different guide, this was a long time crammed in the third row of an SUV for a very sub-par experience, save the ATVs (which, like I said, were a blast)! I wouldn’t trust the other reviews, given they were almost certainly written under duress. I would look elsewhere.
