First, we will pick you up at your hotel. We'll take you first to cool down a little and recharge your energy in the magical Yalahau cenote. This eye of water is a large natural pool where freshwater springs, surrounded by plants, trees, and shrubs, which you can appreciate from the highest of the viewpoint that is located here.
Then we will take a boat to go around the incredible Caribbean sea that encloses numerous treasures and one of the best hidden is the Island of Passion. This place, of just one kilometer of extension, has become one of the most surprising and exclusive spaces. It's a magical place where you'll only hear the sound of the little waves coming to the shore and where you'll breathe the purest air of the Mexican Caribbean.
This island is an escape to all the pressure and stress of the city, in which you will leave all your worries behind and live free of worries while you find yourself in the company of coasts with incredible sunsets, and small villages full of kind people who provide good service. We had a wonderful time. The weather was sunny and calm and the area is great. The water is shallow and warm. The cenote was smaller than I expected but it was a really lovely area where you can both relax and swim. My favourite part was probably Punta Mosquito. We also had a lovely lunch at Buena Vista Grill (not Villa Mar which didn't seem to have good reviews in others' comments previously). The tour operator was also good at communicating with us ahead of time about our pick up location and information we needed to know ahead of time etc. Our tour bus was extremely full but once we got to Chiquila we were divided into boats of around 15 people so the group felt smaller. You should also be aware that the bus will go from Cancun then to Playa del Carmen before heading up to Chiquila/Holbox. It is around an hour from Cancun to Playa and then around 2 hours drive from Playa to the catch the boat at Chiquila. Also the bus didn't have a lot of legroom (so if you have long legs like me, it is cramped). It was a very long and busy day moving around but it was lovely to see 4 areas around Holbox which are only accessible by boat.
