One of the activities I loved most, from the punctuality to the duration. Very attentive and friendly, they always made a point of knowing how we were doing and always being the first in everything, I thought it would just be a dinner but it was much more, stops for tea, camel riding, dinner and then there were the performances of the traditional songs and dances in which we also participated and to end the activity in style we had the fire show. It was very well thought out, I liked it and I will repeat it. I highly recommend
Booked the Dinner In Agafay Desert & Camel Ride with lovely Sunset through the main Idali operator of Atlas Mountain Tours/ Atlas mountain travel. I used the official contact number from their website ( +212 643-230373) so please beware if you see this telephone number when booking a tour. We were picked up by a pleasant man called Mustapha (Our guide for the evening who works for Moroccobestvisits & Idalitours) who took us to the desert where we at least got to witness part of a sunset. We were served mint tea and biscuits and were able to take some photos which was nice. Unfortunately we were bundled back onto the bus for you know, like, the actual sunset. We were then taken to an 'Agafay desert camp' (I don't know the name of it but it's One with Rainbow stairs and a small swimming pool) as part of our 'Desert Sunset Dinner' with ATLAS MOUNTAIN TRAVEL (ALSO OPERATES AS ATLAS MOUNTAIN TOURS) where we were merged with up to 50 other guests, presumably from other tours) Here we were congregated into a large tent at dinner tables. There was a circular depression I'm the ground outside with a campfire and Berber musicians playing which was pretty decent. To be honest I was not expecting anything special in terms of food, something bland and edible would have been fine for the price. Unfortunately we were eventually served partially reheated vegetable tagine and couscous. Most of the dish was stone cold but with some warmth towards the base. The vegetables smelt rancid like cheese and tasted fermented like they had been left out in the heat all day. Consequently me and my friends all got food poisoning, including my pregnant partner. Mustapha was very understanding of our ordeal and we were given a 33% refund for the inedible food. However when I informed the tour operator for safety reasons( A man called Mohamed via The main published number on their official website: +212 643-230373 ) that we had developed gastroenteritis this man told me that if had been up to him, he would have left us in the desert until we'd paid the full amount! He then cursed me with the full wrath of God. Beware of the food at this tent if you get taken here as part of any desert tour!
