Houssein was very knowledgable and a friendly guide who made sure we were looked after. 100% recommend.
Houssein was our guide for the morning. We walked to the highest village in the Atlas Mountains before descending to the waterfalls. Some of the walk was quite tricky but Houssein looked after me, encouraging me and steadying my steps with his hand. It was a brilliant way to spend 3 hours and explore the mountains. We thoroughly recommend this to everyone!
The trip was a life changing experience in that I got to see the lives of those struggling to support themselves and their family, and to get an authentic glimpse of lives and a world that I would have never have seen otherwise. We were lucky enough to be traveling on souk day, so were able to visit the market. Abderrahim was energetic, authentic, and concerned that we had a good experience, and he bravely invited us into and showed us his world. I admire him tremendously, for his hard work teaching himself English on YouTube, to marshaling his friends and family to help him make this AirBnb enterprise a success. It is clear that he is well loved in his community too, and he was able to intervene when I got in a little trouble (I took a picture of sheep in an orchard, but one of women nearby thought I had taken a picture of her, which is taboo). Considering his out of pocket expenses (camel rides, two meals, transportation), I don’t know how he makes any money for what he charges, and I tried to be generous in tipping him.

We had the most amazing time with Abdull and his team. Starting in Marrakech with a prompt pickup, out to visit the camels and drink some tea, and then further on to the mountains for a few hours’ walk, stops for some photos and then a delicious tajine at his family home. While the itinerary was nice, what was even nicer was the experience start to finish with Abdull. He is such a kind, amiable and intelligent person and it was great to see his interactions with his friends along the way and with us. We felt comfortable with him and even though our group had additional requests and questions and we were a big number, he handled it all in stride. Do not hesitate to book - it will be a day you will always remember!
