You’ll encounter firsthand the beauty and hospitality of Moroccan culture by visiting real Berber homes in the villages of the High Atlas mountains with delicious lunch at the berber home, and also this tour will take you to visit the Agafay Desert where you can ride on a camel following by the views of sunshine... 9:00 Depart from your accommodation in Marrakech with our drivre, You will then continue on through Tahnaout here you can visit the berber women's cooperative then to Asni where we have Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited, After you arrive in Atlas Mountains, our starting point, we’ll travel the way the locals do: 1or 2 hours by foot or, for those who require it, by Mule. This provides lots of time for questions and discussion with your guide, who’ll do everything possible to make sure you leave with a good understanding of Berber village life. Walking also gives you the chance to notice small details—a wildflower, how Berber homes are constructed, certain rock formations—that would otherwise be lost on someone going by car. After passing over local foot paths and trails, we’ll make our way to a Berber home for lunch. After our meal, there may be time to explore the village more, see the local crops, or explore important nearby and waterful sources like streams, irrigation canals, or springs. You’ll have plenty of opportunities for breaks while you’re walking, and also plenty of spontaneous interactions on the trails with locals who, no doubt, will know our guides and strike up impromptu conversations. Eventually, you will return to the car to take you to Agafay Desert passing through Kik plateau arriving to Desert Agafay with beautiful views walking or ride on the camel up to the dunes to see the sunshine. then we will drive you back to your Accommodation in Marrakech

Going alone with my 3 children, I recommend this excursion that allows you to see another facet of the Marrakech region and take a breath of nature away from the fury of the medina. It was a very beautiful day to discover the Atlas Mountains which adjoin the city of Marrakech as well as the desert of Agafay, punctuated by a small camel ride to end the journey in style. Guided by Youssef, passionate and adorable character, we were able to discover some traditional Berber villages, with landscapes as exotic as fantastic, in striking contrast to the bustle of Marrakech. It is in an argon oil co-operative that the journey begins, with a traditional breakfast and a very rewarding visit on women’s work in these remote areas. Then an hour hike allows us to access a small waterfall nestled in the heart of the mountains (be careful, take good walking shoes, the path is winding!), depending on the flowery nature, to end the morning in a small typical restaurant where you can taste delicious tagines with views (starter + main course + dessert to 70 dirhams / person). Head to the Agafay desert in the afternoon to put on traditional outfits, enjoy a mint tea and experience a camel ride. Just awesome! Another big thank you to Youssef for his generosity and good humor, which makes this excursion an unforgettable day!
We have a great day with our guide Youssef Kamchad. A busy day , the tagine at lunch was excellent , Youssef showed us a beautiful part of Morocco . I recommend with my eyes closed!
