We were collected outside the Bahai Palace at 9 and dropped back off at 6. Initial stop was a camel ride and then to a women’s co operative that sold oils. We then drove to the town close to the ourika waterfall and had lunch at a house on the outskirts of the village. Lunch was very good and plenty to eat. We then walked to the waterfall and was driven back to marrakech which took about 1 hour 20 mins. The trip was great value but would benefit from the guide talking about some places you pass and some history during the time on the mini bus. Lunch wasn’t served until 3/3.15 which was too late. The same oils were sold at another cooperative on the walk back down from the waterfall so I didn’t understand why we don’t stop there which would have brought lunch forward at least an hour and meant we arrived back at 5. Overall great value and a good opportunity to see more of the country.
We both really enjoyed our day! The tour guide is very passionate and informative about the history of Morocco and his people. The home cooked food for lunch was amazing and the scenery is glorious. I recommend this tour.
Best experience ever, the brother Brahim(I call him brother because he treats us like family members) was an absolute gentleman, his English and French was perfect, so professional and kind. I loved it! Best in Marrakech
It was great, a very attentive guide, we can see that he loves his job, they tell us good stories and even make jokes. A wonderful tour, I recommend!
Ibrahim is a awesome guide, everything went so well from the beginning to the end. This experience is so beautiful and shows what Morocco is really about. 10/10
This tour was different than what we expected, but enjoyable, and our tour guides were friendly and professional. The drive to the Atlas Mountains was long, which we expected. However, we were surprised at the amount of uninterrupted driving and would have preferred more stops to explore the towns we drove through and to do some light shopping. We made one stop early in the trip for a brief camel ride and didn't stop again till reaching the town (Imlil?) where we had lunch, which turned out to be our final destination. The lunch was delicious, and we were surrounded by snowcapped mountains. After lunch, we walked/hiked to a nearby waterfall. We had the opportunity to stop at once store, and then as we got closer to the waterfall, there were many locals with small kiosks with various types of goods for sale e.g., jewelry, scarves, food, etc. Some of the vendors were incredibly pushy, going so far as to follow my husband from the kiosk to the waterfall and back, trying to sell him silver bracelets, after I'd already told him that I didn't wear them. Most people were gracious if we declined to purchase something, but in this location, there were many that were just over the top, which really diminished our enjoyment at that point. This all happened away from our guides, so I don't fault them at all. And, I understand that there are cultural differences in how goods are sold, and that it's important to support the local economy. It was just too much. Overall, we were happy with the tour, especially at the price point, but be prepared for the onslaught of vendors once you approach the waterfalls.
Three friends and I went to this excursion on january, and we couldn’t be happier. We had a great day, the guide texted us to make sure the pick up point worked fine for us and was there on time. He was super nice and without him the trip wouldn’t have been the same. We loved having a small breakfast at the female cooperative, the women there were the sweetest and we didn’t feel pressured tu buy from them. After an hour drive we were supposed to have lunch at his grandma’s and a walk, but we couldn’t get to the town because it was snowing really hard and the road was closed. Jamal made sure this didn’t ruin our day and took us to his aunts house which was great aswell where we fell in love with her couscous and tangine. We felt really comfortable to change the plan as convenient and Jamal was more like a friend than a guide, we even asked him to join us for lunch. After he left us at the hotel I forgot my sunglasses in the car and he came all the way back to bring them to me. We really think this experience is worth every penny or even more. Just so you know, it is possible that even if you book it in spanish, they may speak to you in english, it wasn’t a problem for us, but maybe is something you would like to know. Overall we loved it!
Full program: approach to the Agafay desert, camel ride in desert landscapes, walk in a setting of mountain villages to see a waterfall. Good driver, and our guide Idriss, very interesting in his explanations, friendly, attentive and attentive
Our highlight of our stay in Marrakesh! Jamal and Mohammed were both amazing guides - we found it so interesting and both were so knowledgable. The food we had for lunch was the best food we had throughout our whole stay - proper tagine!! Amazing value trip for what you get. We saw so much in one day. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore!
This is one of the best tours I have ever gone on. The tour guide Ibrahim was fantastic in every aspect; prompt, polite and knowledgeable. The highlight of the tour to me was the delicious lunch Ibrahim’s mom prepared for us in his family home in the Berber village. That veritable feast was the most delicious meal I had my entire trip to Morocco. The tour bus was clean and comfortable and Ibrahim did not try to take us to places where we would be compelled to buy something like most tours do. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in a genuine Berber experience to the Atlas Mountains. Thank you Ibrahim for such a wonderful day.
