Have to give it to this company. I dropped a request to do this tour with them with 36 hours notice, after having my tour cancelled at the last minute with another company, and they pulled off the arrangements with ease. Outstanding. The tour itself was full-on and well worth the effort of the long day. The tour guide, Mahmoud Oraby, was a veritable font of knowledge, and unobtrusive in his approach. Thankyou, you made our day. The driver, Mohammed, was punctual and professional. We will definitely be back to Luxor, and we have some wonderful memories thanks to this company and it staff. A big thank you from us, you save us from a significant disappointment due to the failures of others.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a private one-day excursion in Luxor with the Egyptologist guide Sam, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the very beginning, he demonstrated great professionalism, punctuality, and an impressive depth of knowledge about ancient Egyptian history. His explanations at each temple were clear, engaging, and full of fascinating details that brought the monuments to life. Sam answered all my questions with patience and precision, sharing not only information but also his genuine passion and respect for Egyptian culture. He was attentive, kind, and made sure that every moment of the tour was comfortable and enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly organized, allowing me to make the most of my time without ever feeling rushed. Thanks to Sam, my visit to Luxor became an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend him to anyone wishing to discover Egypt through the eyes of a true professional who clearly loves what he does. A big thanks to the driver as well!
There was so much to see. The scale of these monuments is humbling. The artwork is mesmerizing. The history is very interesting and my guide Angie was fabulous at bringing it all to life.
Luxor is very nice and tons of history there but beware of being taken to stores that have nothing to do with your intentions! I found many guides are very much interested in taking you to places they have connections with so you will buy and they will get a cut of the profits! It takes a ton of time away from them having to actually be a guide.
This tour was amazing! Better than expected. This is a private tour and you start early in the day which allows you to see the attractions almost empty. Our tour guide Mustafa had a lot of interesting information to share. All temples were amazing and this even included a shopping trip to buy great souvenirs. The only cons is the tour is long and starts super early in the day, but that’s the price to pay to be able to avoid big crowds. Definitely recommend it if you are in Cairo and looking to explore other cities without a lot of days to spare.
It's was an extremely well arranged from cairo to Luxor one day tour, good local guide with her best historical knowledge.
Luxor was absolutely amazing, was worth going there for the day. Everything went well with the flights to and from. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the lunch was nice. Highly recommend but be aware there was a boat ride down the Nile for an extra cost. There were 3 other stops at shops which we weren't aware of and took up a lot of time and felt obligated to buy something. Felt a little rushed at some of the sites. I suggest you take some extra money with you!
I don't like writing negative reviews, and generally keep them to myself but this feels like an experience I should warn others about. We received our confirmation for a 4 am pick-up to the airport- and went outside to wait for the driver. Luckily another person was outside then as well and called the company for us to be told we were not being picked up until 5, and when the company text me via WhatsApp they made it sound like I had read the confirmations incorrectly. When we were picked up for our transfer, the guide handed me a packet of papers and told me to give it to the guide in Luxor and that it was our "tourist visas". I knew we did not need additional tourist visas so when we were alone at the airport I checked what I had been asked to carry on the plane and it was several pre-paid credit cards for various men whose names were written on the top. It felt very much like I was helping launder money. When we arrived in Luxor and our guide asked for the "visas" and I made sure to point out that I knew that's not what I was carrying and that I did not appreciate being lied too. She laughed and asked why I was angry. As for the tour of Luxor, it was very rushed. And to be fair- it is blistering hot in Luxor, so I understand wanting to get people in and out of the sun quickly. However, when I asked to see additional tombs in the Valley of the Queens it was made clear that that was not on the itinerary and no changes would be made. The air-conditioned bus was ::chef's kiss::. Half of the day was spent on the sites in Luxor- we declined to go to the Alabaster manufacturer (a request that was honored). The tour itself was alright, nothing special, nothing terrible. I saw several other Emo tour guides giving the exact same lectures so it's clearly a scripted tour, but not horrible. The other half we were left by ourselves at a perfectly fine hotel to rest. There was plenty of time to go to the valley of the queens or see additional tombs during this rest period if our guide had been more flexible. Had our flight been earlier we could have come back to Cairo and explored but the tour scheduled a 9:15 pm flight. I don't know what they get for having tourist stay at a hotel for 5 hours but clearly its working for them. All in all, I would absolutely not recommend this tour.
Great trip will advise to be more than one day to do all different places that Luxor has to offer , missed the Nile boat trip and hot air balloon , definitely need more than one day to do everything maybe x4 days , xxx
Our trip to Luxor was unforgettable. Mustafa Awed was our guide and his knowledge of the history and majesty of what he showed us was incomparable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Luxor and Karnak Temples as well as the tombs in The Valley of The Kings. Our lunch at The Paris Restaurant was delicious. We highly recommend this tour
