Day Trip to Essaouira from Marrakech

Meet a driver at your hotel in Marrakech, or at a central location, for the roughly 3-hour trip to Essaouira, a laid-back city that’s cooled by sea breezes. On your way to Essaouira, make a stop at an Argan oil cooperative, learning how the golden oil is produced using traditional techniques. Upon arrival in Essaouira, set out on your own to explore the compact historic center, ringed by fortifications with great views of the ocean. You'll have the freedom to see and do what you want. You can sip mint tea in the Moulay el Hassan square, browse for souvenirs at the bazaars, or try freshly caught, local seafood at an open-air restaurant. Rejoin the driver and group after an afternoon of exploration and begin the return trip to Marrakech, where the day concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.
