Embark on a thrilling day trip from Nairobi to Hell’s Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha, combining adventure and scenic beauty. Be picked up at your hotel early in the morning after breakfast. On the way, have a stop over at the great Rift Valley to view its scenic landscapes and take photographs. Arrive at Hell’s Gate by 8:30 AM, where you can choose to cycle or drive through the dramatic landscapes, spotting wildlife and exploring landmarks like Fischer’s Tower and the Obsidian Caves. After about three hours, head to Lake Naivasha for lunch at a lakeside restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat ride across the lake, where you'll spot hippos, fish eagles, and other birdlife. Wrap up the day and return to Nairobi by early evening, enriched by a full day of nature, wildlife, and unforgettable views. Entry fee to Hell's Gate , boat ride in Lake Naivasha ($25) and bike hiring fee ($15) are not added in the price of the tour.

The experience of visiting Hell's Gate and Lake Naivasha was great but logistically the tour was not great. The tour guide is more of a transport than a guide. You are picked up then passed on to other guides for both the Hell's Gate portion and the Lake Naivasha portion. Be mindful of this when bringing cash for tipping. You could have 4-6 guides throughout the day. Our tour guide/driver also took us to Lake Naivasha first, then to Hell's Gate, and lastly to lunch on the way back to Nairobi. While all the experiences were the same as those listed in the tour, they were not in the order listed. If the order in which you participate in each of the aspects of the tour is important to you, I would reach out to the guide to double check where you will go and when. The charges / fees listed on the site were also not accurate when I booked the tour. Please be aware you will need to pay 1. The park entrance fee for Hell's Gate (card only) 2. The bike entrance fee for Hell's Gate (card only- $10) 3. The bike rental fee (cash only- $15) 4. The Lake Naivasha boat ride fee (cash- $25) 5. Tips for guides (cash) 6. Lunch. These were the prices when I went- they may have changed. Our tour guide did not list the bike entrance fee to ride into the park on the website, leaving a member of our group without the proper amount. Our guide did not do much to resolve the issue and the other member, and expected me to help with payment though we did not know each other. Though the park/lake themselves were great to see, the execution of the trip was not well-organized and our tour guide was not very helpful. If you come prepared with the proper payments - and some extra in case there are any mishaps- and are flexible with your schedule, you can still have a great day on this tour!
Thanks for taking time to write a review, about the tour guide, you have to be picked up by the tour guide and the driver, the guide will explain to you on the way to hells gate. About the great rift valley, you have to meet a tour guide who has been born there to explain to you the history of the great rift valley. When you arrive at the park you have to meet the guide who will take you through the park while your cycling. About the payments; you have to pay $50 park entry fee , about $10 I had not explained because it is a government change but I had explained to you about the change and I asked to you to forgive for the mistake. To other clients who you paid she requested you to pay because she had cash money and the park entrance fee is payable by the card and you excepted.
We had a great time on this tour! Our guides were on time and allowed us to stop for coffee on the way to the park. The bikes were in good condition and we got to experience the gorge without a lot of people. It was cool to see the area that inspired landscapes in the Lion King. Our original guide was rather quiet and didn’t speak much to us during the drive. But he was very kind and always opened the car door when we stopped. Lunch was okay but nourishing after a long bike ride. Overall the day was fairly expensive for just biking. When it was all done, the day cost close to $275 cad for two people (tour fee, park entry, biking/guide, lunch, tips). It’s definitely worth booking if Hells Gate is on your bucket list!

This is a must-do for any adventurer visiting Kenya. Its scenic and beautiful without the large crowds. The 16 km bike ride through Hell’s Gate was unforgettable, with zebras and other wildlife seen up close, visits to the hot springs, and opportunities to support local women traders along the way. Our guide was punctual, thoughtful, and attentive. From the comfortable vehicle to the detailed explanations throughout the tour, both the guide and driver ensured we made the most of the experience. It felt well-curated to our needs and exceeded our expectations.

It was exceptional i loved every bit if it such a beautiful peaceful place and good vibes people are friendly and very helpful. Animals are amazing as always its always great to see them in their natural habitat and just existing, i’m definitely visiting again. Joseph and the driver are welcoming and helpful however i wasn't comfortable with the way they were staring at me at all. I wish id had/ provided by the app more information about the type of car and who's gonna take us for safety reasons i was a bit worried in the beginning but it all went great eventually other than that like i said it was an exceptional experience. Note: if ure north African ull get a discount just show proof of identity and thats it ur all set.
