Today we had an amazing tour of the ancient city of Memphis and Saaqara. The ruins were phenomenal. The hieroglyphics so cool! We spent the right amount of time and saw everything. Ali is so knowledgeable and Abdul had ice cold water waiting for us at every turn. I highly recommend coming to Egypt and doing this tour. They think of everything!
Dear valuable guest, Thank you so much for the wonderful review, it was a pleasure arranging your Cairo visit and we are all glad you enjoyed it. We hope you will be back soon, so you can adventure & visit more of Egypt, as ancient Egypt has no end, and still untold story.
I created a custom tour that included: the pyramids of Giza, Fayoum, 3 days in Luxor, Saqqara, Memphis, transfers to/from airport and an expeditor for all flights. Prior to the trip there was no consultation on their part nor guidance on where to go, what to do. I had to do all of the research and tell them what things I wanted to do/see and they provided a proposal for guides and drivers accordingly. I asked for a day-by-day itinerary on timings to know how long each day/event would be roughly - none was provided. I asked for a packing list - none was provided. Overall I enjoyed the trip, but there were some blunders along the way. Things didn’t get started well. Coming from California it was a long 24 hour journey to get to Cairo. I paid for an expeditor to receive me at the airport. I arrived at 1am - exhausted and the expeditor was all business - walking fast, just wanted to get out of there - no how was your flight? How are you? We walked to baggage claim and he told me to get my bags and meet him and I said, “oh can you help me with my bags? And he got an annoyed look and said, “why are they heavy?” He really didn’t want to help me so he got a porter from the airport to help me but the bags took so long to come out that the porter just walked away - and the expeditor had walked away as well. So I started with a really bad impression. I prepaid for all transfers and I thought at least they’d provide some water bottles in the car - but no. I was visiting family in Cairo. This company and expeditor were recommended by my relatives as they have worked with this company for years and all of my family that visited prior to me worked with them and none of them were treated this way. My local relatives that recommended them were really surprised as well. I was disappointed in the guide at the Pyramids of Giza. She didn’t seem to be familiar with the new bus system and in retrospect we should have started with the Sphinx and worked backwards. I wouldn’t have known that - that’s what we pay guides for - to know these things. By the time we got to the Sphinx it was so crowded and we were so tired from the heat that we couldn’t enjoy it. But that could have been easily avoided if she had planned thoughtfully. We paid a lot for the day trip to Fayoum and we should have gotten a luxury vehicle. Instead we got a beat up looking car which at one point struggled to start. Looking back I should have refused to get in that car from the getgo. The driver/guide was good as were most of the guides. My guide Sherry and driver at Luxor were AWESOME - thoughtful, organized, excellent at taking pictures, flexible and just made it really memorable. Shahd was my guide at Saqqara and Memphis. She spoke excellent English and was just a fun person. Overall things went well. For the amount I paid it should have been nicer and attention to details and things that visitors would need/find useful. We did inform Ali about these challenges along the way and 0 compensation nor effort to make up for it was made.
Excellent guide and driver, I enjoyed a private tour with a lot of information and a comfortable tour, all sites were interesting.
The tour was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information about the pyramids and ancient Egyptian history. The day was really well-organized, and we got to do a lot more than just see the pyramids, which gave us a deeper appreciation for Egypt. It was such a great experience—I’d highly recommend it!
Our tour guide was great! He had a masters in Egyptology and was extremely knowledgeable. He was helpful with watching out for tourist scams and was awesome with picture taking
The most amazing experience. Best part of the trip! We toured all the ancient Egyptian hot spots and got to go on a camel ride and inside the pyramids. Guide was able to tailor it to our preferences. He was so knowledge and helpful. Took us to amazing restaurant with a view of the pyramids. On the way to different spots we got to stop at an amazing authentic real jewelry and artifact store, then to a store where they demonstrated how their paper is made and had beautiful art work for purchase.
