Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy. It has been a popular place of retreat of aristocrats and wealthy people since the roman times. Meet our guide at the Central Station in Milan and travel to Como Lake, in one hour you will reach Como, visit Como and the beautiful city center then from here you will take the boat to Bellagio. Bellagio is known as the Pearl of the Como Lake.
During the cruise, you can admire the lakeside villas of celebrities, including the one owned by George Clooney! A cruise on the lake reaching the city of Como. Enjoy a guided tour of the city center and the Duomo. This incredible church, completed in 1770 took four-hundred years to build, but nonetheless remains true to its original Gothic design.
Once you reach Bellagio, a place which has been famed for its charm and beauty since the 16th Century, you will experience breathtaking views, called the “Pearl of Lake Como” for its unique colored houses and colorful flowerbeds. Here you can find many beautiful villas that overlook the lake and in the background have the Alps. Free time for lunch in a typical Trattoria here by the lake and time for shopping, Como lake is famous especially for silk and once you are ready our guide will take you for a romantic cruise on the lake. (about 2h30m).

Francesco was an amazing tour guide! It was a very wet, rainy day in June, but he made adjustments to the tour to keep us active and seeing Bellagio and Varenna. He helped us buy much needed umbrellas and sweatshirts to keep warm and dry. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I was afraid of getting seasick on the ferries, but they were only 15-20 minutes long and I had no issues. This was a great tour and we can’t wait to return to Lake Como! On the train ride back to Milan, he made dinner reservations for us in Milan that evening. It was the best meal we had in Milan! He even walked us to the metro after the train and helped us get on the metro to our hotel. This tour company and guide were so organized and the best one we used our entire trip! Don’t hesitate to book with them.

Our guide, Emilio, was superb. This was an all-day affair, and he was charming and extremely knowledgeable about the environs and the history. He was good company - even for our teenage children (who are generally well-behaved) and had the stamina to go for about 8 hours all-in.

So glad we got to spend a day in Como during our visit to Milan. Andrea was an exceptional guide who was very easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Also very knowledgeable! Definitely visit Suisse (restaurant in Bellagio) before you leave! So yummy.
