Itinerary
The Cu Chi Tunnels, a network stretching over 250 kilometers, are one of the most famous and historically significant aspects of the Vietnam War. Originally created in 1948 to support the Viet Minh in their fight for independence from the French, the digging and construction of tunnels continued for the next 25 years. The result was an underground city complete with living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers. These tunnels could accommodate thousands of people who lived almost entirely underground for years, leading relatively normal lives, including getting married and raising children.
During the American War, the entire Cu Chi area was designated as a free-fire zone and faced heavy attacks and bombings. In 1988, two sections of the tunnels were opened to visitors. Now, you have the chance to enjoy this wonderful and informative experience. Constructed with “moving parts”, these structures were designed to be livable for long periods of time. For those interested, there is an opportunity to fire rounds from a war-era M16 or AK47 at the nearby firing range. (This activity is optional; firing range fees are not included).

Mr Bau was an outstanding tour guide, his passion & extensive knowledge of the background of Chu Chi was top drawer. This tour taught us so much about the tunnels as well allowing us to immerse ourselves in history of it all. In our tour it was only us on it which meant we were able to get more information from Mr Bau & were able to ask more questions then the bigger groups we saw. A super experience, a must do.
The tour was amazing, highly recommend. The traps, tunnels and rooms are all kept in incredible condition. Also the shooting range is a must do. The tour guide was excellent, spoke perfect english and answered all my questions with detailed knowledge.
My Husband enjoyed the tour and to get to experience a little of what the Vietnam war did to the country. The guide was knowledgeable and was picked up on time. I to also believe that it was over priced but heck my husband enjoyed it
Dear capricornmum, Warm greetings from Hoi An Express Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. We are pleased to know that you've enjoyed your trip with our staff. We hope to welcome you back again one day for more wonderful experiences. Best regards,

I recommend the morning tour, as it's a bit cooler/less busy. Our guide was SUPER knowledgeable and gave us a history less enroute to the tunnels which was needed in my case, as I admit I don't know much about the Vietnam war. The tunnels are very cool, and we made a stop at a factory that employs disabled people and were able to buy some souvenirs. The van was cool and air conditioned. Everything was great and as expected!

The tour is very overpriced for what it offers. The pick-up was on time and the van was comfortable. The agency is easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Our guide, however, was unenthusiastic and very brief with his information. Other tour guides seem to explain a lot more and a lot better. What was most disappointing and unacceptable was we were not informed that there was an option to do a 150m tunnel crawl. Our guide told us only about the 20m and 40m crawls. We learned about what we missed only on our return from other tourists with SERIOUS DISAPPOINTMENT. The on ground staff is very attentive and it is them who do the crawl with you and not your guide, they are also there throughout to show you around and explain things which makes one question the need for a guided tour at all. All you really need is a driver and van. The entry fee is barely 15% of the tour cost making this expense seem unnecessary given we were a group of 7. We did the AK47 shooting at our own expense which was a unique experience. This tour is priced above average and hence one expects high quality standards which it does not deliver.
Dear our friend, Firstly, We would like to say thanks to you because you chose our services. Your feedbacks are what we will try our best to overcome and improve better in the future. We will remind our tour guide of this. Hopefully, in the future you will perceive our improvement. Once again, we are really sorry for these inconveniences. Good luck to you ! Best Reagrds, Pham Que Anh

Great tour, just enough time to get through the tunnels and spend time shooting machine guns at the end optional and extra fee. The guide had great insight to the tunnels and had a great personality.

A must see in Siagon. Guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly.

Good trip and informative guide . It's just the traffic that spoils it.

Tour was great! Tour guide was even better! Highly recommended

So interesting and thoroughly worth doing. Tour guide was excellent.
