7:00 a.m: + Depart from the hotel from Ho Chi Minh to get to the Cu Chi Tunnels, once called "the Iron Triangle". The tunnels were designed by local guerrillas as a “springboard for attacking Saigon.” The area was used for infiltrating Saigon-intelligence agents, part cadres, and sabotage teams. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas ashiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes for hospitals, food, weapon caches as well as being the living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The most interesting part in this tour is discovering tunnels. You can go down tunnels to understand about the VC and guerilass life. Try some VC's food and some tea for relaxing. After seeing the tunnels, We will go to Cao Dai Temple. Cao Dai Holy See – located in the Tay Ninh province. Cao Daiism, a relatively new religion founded in 1926 in the South of Vietnam, has attracted more than 2.5 million followers across the country and overseas. It is in fact a combination of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, with some Christianity and Islam thrown in for good measure. The hierarchy closely resembles the Roman Catholic Church and the color scheme seems to be lifted straight from a Hindu Temple. The religion’s philosophy fits very well into the world’s current religious turmoils.

Admission included60 min

After lunch, go to Ba Den - the Black Virgin mountain by cable car .The view is breath-taking, and you will be surrounded on both sides by mango trees and woodland flowers. The cable car will take us get to the Top of the moutain which is 986m high. We will visit the sky garden and highest Buddha Statue in Vietnam.

Great way to hit all major points in one day!

I traveled with my husband and brother and had a great time! Phong was very informed and had a great sense of humor. He also took the liberty of making slight rearrangements to our schedule to accommodate the heavy traffic that would happen since it was Buddha’s birthday. He gave us ample time to see everything and didn’t rush through anything. We got back at around 6:30 pm as promised. Overall a very comfortable trip! There quite a bit of walking so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone that has mobility limitations.

Five stars for everything

We are a family of four and chose this tour because it was our second time traveling with this company. We were once again thrilled with our choice. The tour was quite long, a full day, but it was definitely worth it. The scenery from the top of the mountain, with the flower garden and Buddha statue, was stunning. Lunch was excellent, with vegetarian options as requested. The highlight of the tour was definitely the tunnels. We had an amazing time as a family. Five stars for everything!

Tour that unfortunately didn't happen

I contracted the service through Tripadvisor, paid in advance, but about a week before I received a cancellation message from the operator, saying it was a very busy time of year, and therefore they would not be able to assist me. On the one hand, I thank them for canceling early enough so that I could hire another operator relatively in advance, however, they should not have left the date available for scheduling (and especially payment), for a day when they were not going to carry out the activity.

Operator response

Dear Sir, Thank you for choosing to book with us. Regrettably, we must inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to proceed with your booking. We were eagerly anticipating your trip, but we have received notification from the Administration of the mountain regarding a large prayer ceremony involving thousands of people. We promptly informed you via email a week before the scheduled tour date. It was a decision made with the quality of your experience in mind. We cannot compromise your safety and satisfaction by proceeding with the tour under such crowded conditions. We understand your disappointment and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We strive to maintain the highest standards of service and ensure that all our clients have a memorable and enjoyable experience. We sincerely hope for your understanding regarding the cancellation. Thank you for your feedback, although we regret that it reflects negatively on our service. Rest assured, our priority is to uphold the quality of our tours and the satisfaction of our clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Mekong Silt Tour Director Kelvin

Best Tour of the Trip

Our guide Phat was absolutely amazing!! We had such a great day. Everything that was listed was included and Phat was so informative. We visited a lacquer facility that had those affected by agent orange doing the artwork. We then went to the Cao Dai Temple and were able to watch them worshiping. After that we had a fantastic lunch then we headed to the mountain. We even stopped for coffee on the way to the temple at our request. The day was perfect we are so glad we booked the tour.

A great experience!

Our tour guide, Phat, was wonderful! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Phat constantly engaged with us to ensure our trip was enjoyable and memorable. I travelled with my mother, who is above 60 years old, and we had a great time with him. If Phat is your tour guide, you know you're in good hands!
