We had a lovely day out in the English countryside. Our guide Beth was very nice and accommodating. The tour was tailored for us. The weather forecasted rain, but the sun came out and it was a beautiful day! Very relaxing and never felt rushed. Definitely, will go back!
Our guide Beth was absolutely delightful! She was knowledgeable about the area and shared many interesting tidbits with us along our journey to and from Sudeley. The castle itself was extraordinary. Not exactly what you'd expect on the inside as a lot of it had been modernized to showcase the owners collections, but the outside, especially the ruins and the chapel where Queen Catherine Parr is buried, were absolutely breathtaking. Beth even went out of her way to make lunch reservations for us at a historic tavern in the Cotswolds to enhance our experience since we were entirely unfamiliar with the area. She was gracious and empathetic when we decided we didn't want to stop at Bourton-on-the-Water due to overcrowding (the weather was exceptionally beautiful that day), and instead drove us around to see other interesting features within the Cotswolds area. Having Beth as a driver made the entire day stress free and an overall great experience. I wouldn't have done it any other way. Absolutely no regrets. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves historical places or Tudor history. If you are looking for a stress-free way to visit Sudeley Castle and the Cotswolds, Beth is the way to go!
Thank you so much for your incredibly generous and thoughtful review! It was a true pleasure spending the day with you and sharing the beauty and history of Sudeley Castle and the Cotswolds. I’m so glad the chapel and ruins left a lasting impression they really are something special. Your warmth and curiosity made it such an enjoyable experience for me too! I’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back and show you even more of the UK’s hidden treasures. Until then, thank you again for your kind words and recommendation it means the world!
Beth is a really wonderful guide. Sudeley is underrated as a historical site. One of those secrets of the Cotswolds that is definitely worth doing. Note: The car is not large. Best for two or three people. But you can squeeze one more in. She may also be able to rent something larger for a bigger party. You'd have to ask.
It's been an absolute pleasure to meet you and your group, I had a fantastic time! Yes I can get a bigger car for groups of 4 or more people. Thank you for your 5 star feedback, I appreciate it 😊
