There is no guide on this trip. Our driver, while a very nice man, did not know where to take us. He wanted us to tell him where to drive!
When I booked Blenheim place tour it was with a guide(we got a driver who was not a guide) then we were told it did not include tickets to the palace. Sent us to another website to buy them for $250 but the palace didn’t recognize them. Had to purchase more tickets ATthe palace for aniother $230. You need to refund me the first $250. We had a great day exploring Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds at our own pace. Highly recommend if you want a day away from the city!!!
To start, our guide, Ahmed, was amazing! Super knowledgeable about English and world history, he helped bring this tour to life. Took us to all the hot spots, and tailored the tour around what WE wanted. Only low point of this tour is how busy, crowded and over commercialized these quaint villages have become (thanks to the Internet and social media)—sad in some respects. Still, I heartily recommend this tour (and especially Ahmed) to anyone. You’ll be glad you took this.
There was no guide, just a driver, and after visiting the first attraction in the " tour" and spending there one hour less than we were supposed to spend, we were told that we didn't have enough time to finish our tour, that it was either returning to London, or paying £50/hour in cash, for as long as it took us to visit the other two attractions in the program and return to London. This was not a cheap "tour". It had already cost us around twice the price of the pre-made tours, but we wanted to see everything in one day, and we thought this tour would allow us to do ir. Tripadvisor should do something about this. As you can see in the photos below it says stop at Blenheim palace 3 hours. We spent only two, and the rest is history.
Best was Blenheim palace and Burton on the Water in Cotswolds. Unfortunately driver was unfamiliar with the area so it was not guided and did not take us the most efficient way so we had no time for Oxford
Overall it was a great day, but it was apparent early on that the only way to see and experience everything mentioned was by extending the trip which cost more. It was worth it but wish we would have known. Our driver, Ahmed, was very professional and very very knowledgeable!
Excellent experience at our own pace! Driver was patient and helpful. Sites were gorgeous … very worthwhile.
This was a top-notch experience overall, and a wonderful way to see these sites with your family or other small group. Our driver and guide, Shaban, could not have been better. He was knowledgeable, helpful, hospitable, and a safe driver. This was a real highlight of our visit.
Our guide Ahmed was so kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Our day was absolutely incredible! Oxford was just amazing, and it helped that we got our tickets online by his suggestion in advance for Christ Church to see Harry Potter sights. Blenheim Palace was beautiful. But the really icing on the cake was the rest of our day with Ahmed through the Cotswolds Countryside, absolutely the crown jewel of our trip!
