Bought 2 tickets, with viator. However, got denied the tour. Chu chu colonial train, claimed, they don’t work with Viator, for a while! Lost 50 dolares! Careful when buying tickets, with viator. It can be a lie, a trap
we were not allowed to do the tour due to the people at the train station stated that they do not get paid when people buy these online tickets

It is important to clarify that it is not true that the station staff mentioned they wouldn’t be paid for online tickets. The management of bookings and payments is handled internally by our company. There may have been a misunderstanding at the station when you were informed about this matter, as all processes regarding refunds and the management of online bookings are our responsibility. As mentioned earlier, your tour was canceled due to the repairs, and we apologize if we failed to communicate this more clearly before you arrived. We deeply apologize for not being able to provide the experience you expected and are committed to improving our internal communication and communication with our customers to prevent misunderstandings in the future. The announced 45-minute tour (in reality it’s much less) through the Colonial Zone gives you a bird’s eye view of sites you want to visit and see at your leisure. The train moves too fast and it is too noisy (and confusing with the language mix) to understand the commentary of what you are expected to observe. Conclusion: it’s not worth doing this tour.

Entertaining even though the English narration track broke in certain areas, hats off to the driver having to navigate those streets.

Do not book. I booked a trip. And they were supposed to come and pick me up from my hotel. And they refused. They were very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend it at all when in Santo Domingo. Use a different operator. Not this one.

Terrible experience - mainly due to the sound system which was designed to create permanent hearing damages rather than deliver interesting information. Imagine 2 extremely loud speakers screaming in 2 different languages - but not in sync, loud music inbetween.. not in sync here either this is the dream if the DJ from hell. The route itself could have been covered by foot in half the time, and was based on an endless number of old churches. Get yourself a better tour!

We took the 40 minute ChuChu Trolley ride when we were in the Zone Colonial, it was fine. They have speakers on the trolley giving you the details in Spanish in the front car and English in the back car which was fine but it would be better if they had the recorder and headsets like the museums do but all in all it was nice, I would recommend before you walk around.

Enjoyable and educational tour. The meeting point is a beautiful park with lots of seating and shade. Lots of shops and local artist selling a variety of goods/items. Would of given 5 stars but we had to wait an hour after our originally scheduled tour because the time we reserved was only being done in Spanish. Our coordinator followed up after the tour and was apologetic and receptive to my feedback. His wonderful customer service is rare and was much appreciated.
