Experience the exhilarating of a guided tour through the magnificent Coba ruins, led by a private certified guide. Explore the entire archeological site, either by biking or in a taxi rickshaw. We will pick you up with a private vehicle from your hotel-rental (approx 1h minutes driving from Playa del Carmen and 15-20 minutes from Tulum)
To end your excursion, your guide will bring you to a local restaurant in Coba where you can savor a tasty lunch. The menu features delectable Mexican specialties like tacos, empanadas, and more. After lunch, we'll take you back to your hotel or rental.

Pickup Locations & Times
We pick up from all hotels - rentals located from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. An additional pick-up fee will be due to the guide on the day of the tour if you are staying in Puerto Morelos (USD 45) or Cancun (USD 90). If condo or house rental, we require the full name and address of the place, sharing location via phone upon arrival is requested. For the best experience, we advise choosing a pick-up time of either 6:00 am from Playa del Carmen or 7:00 am from Tulum. This will allow you to avoid both the crowds and the heat, ensuring a more enjoyable outing. No shows applies 15 minutes after confirmed pick up time.

We had an excellent guided tour with Arturo. Very pleasant to be around and very knowledgeable of the civilization. He also knew a lot of very nice spots for great photos which will help us to remember the nice experience. It was very hot as well and it was great that he was aware and actively making sure that we were fine / had shade if necessary. The pace was great too, it did not feel rushed and instead felt like the right amount of time to spend at each area. Highly recommend this experience!

We’ve done other tours in Mexico and other places in the world. This was one of the best operated and most interesting. Dulce and Omar took great care of us, very knowledgeable and answered our many questions. They let us take our time as well to take pictures and just wander around the area. Definitely take the bicycles at Coba, and climb the temple stairs! 5 well deserved stars! Would definitely book with Absolute Adventure Mexico again!

NEW YEARS DAY! We started with a 6:30am pick up with Eddie and Omar. I want to commend Ruby in the office for organizing this excursion for us, ABSOLUTE ADVENTURES MEXICO is very organized. We picked the Tulum and Coba Tour plus cenote so that we could experience history, adventure, and see a part of Mexico we have never seen before. Omar was a pleasant driver, we felt very comfortable with him. Eddie is a knowledgeable expert and enjoyable to spend the day with! Our tour lasted almost ten hours! Eddie was patient and went with our pace. Answering questions, letting us bike through the Copa Jungle and climb the ruins. We liked the Cenote… i would love to visit more on our next trip. What a memorable day and start to our New Year! We wish eddie and his family all the best!

Absolute Adventure took us on one of the best tours we’ve ever experienced. We booked 2 tours with them, Tulum & Coba day 1 and Chichen Itza Express day 2 and it was worth every penny. We were so lucky to have our guide Christina, and we were thrilled to find out she was booked with us for both days. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the Yucatan Peninsula and the Mayan people and answered every question we had about the region, its history and Mexico as a whole. We learned so much and had a fantastic time every step of the way. Our driver, Omar, was excellent as well. Extremely accommodating, polite and he did a marvellous job (we also loved the music playlist during the ride). We are so glad we chose Absolute Adventure for our excursions. And Coba was our favourite historic site by far for all the nature and incredible ruins. We also happened to be visiting the first week the pyramid in Coba reopened to hikers wishing to climb the tallest Mayan structure in the Yucatan. It was the best part of our trip and we learned so much! We will be recommending them to anyone looking for a great day trip on their vacation.

Arturo was a fantastic guide. He took extra time with my father in law who was mobility impaired and made an extra special trip for my family. Our guide, Alex, was insanely knowledgeable, kind, and fun to spend the day with, and our driver, Enrique, made us feel completely safe and cared for. This was such a great and fun day. Everyone had a fantastic time. Joshua our guide was so knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about the Maya culture as well as about the sites we visited. We also talked about modern Mexico. Rodrigo the driver was so attentive, always a step ahead of us, parking the car at the right location to pick and drop us up, stopping for our children’s numerous toilets breaks, making sure we had cool drinks. I cannot recommend enough this company for fantastic private tours. We really felt like VIP.

5 Stars for Josh our tour guide at Tulum. We booked a half day for our family (9 total, 6 adults and 3 children). For less than $100 each, we were picked up from our resort, transported to Parque del Jaguar, guided through the ruins for about 2 hours, bought some gifts, and taken back to our resort. For our family (ages 9 to 70), a half day tour of the ruins only was perfect. Our guide Josh provided an excellent explanation of what we were seeing, how the Mayans lived, what the Conquistadors would have encountered, and answered all our questions about life in pre and post colonial Yucatán. He even had pictures on his tablet to reference for more details. Overall, we never felt unsafe, unsure, or unsettled. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. Would use Absolute Adventure again. Thank you to Josh for making our time in Mexico wonderful!
