Market Tour, Hand Tortillas & Sauces in Mexico City

Description
I learned to cook where the best Mexican cooks learn: next to my grandmother. I have degrees in bakery and pastries from the Cloister of Sister Joan, and I just finished studying gastronomy, and together with my mom we have a cafeteria in the city. The kitchen is not my job, it's my world. I have been creating gastronomic experiences for travelers from all over the world for more than two years, and what matters most to me is not that you learn a recipe, but that when you finish you feel that in Mexico you will always have a friend. Each experience is different because each person is different. Welcome to Mexico:)

I can’t recommend Veronica’s Salsa and Tortillas class enough. My husband and I have different levels of cooking experience, and the class was incredibly accessible for both of us. Veronica is a fantastic teacher. Everything was clearly explained without ever feeling overwhelming. The experience was thoughtfully paced from start to finish, from selecting ingredients at the market to making four delicious salsas in her beautiful home. Every salsa was excellent, and we left full, happy, and confident we could make them again ourselves. The class flew by, which says a lot because cooking classes aren’t usually my husband’s thing. He left talking about the salsas he wants to make at home for me. It ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Mexico City, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.
Very engaging session, with tips on picking ingredients and cooking techniques. Also great overall conversation (in english and in spanish)
The class with Veronica was awesome. It felt very personal and we got lucky because it was just us in the class. I told her I was dying to get a molcajete and she helped me pick one from a vendor she knew when we went to the market. I could tell she is really passionate about food like me and enjoys transmitting her culture through the class. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing salsa and so much fun!
Very good experience and delicious food. Started Market buying ingredients and went to her home to cook
It was a unique experience. Veronica is very nice and studied to be a chef - the course was very interesting and she explained a lot to us. The recipes were excellent!! We really enjoyed the experience of going to the market then making the recipes in his apartment, and being just our family. A unique experience! We recommend.
This was a great experience! We loved getting to go through the market with a local, and learn from her family's recipes for salsa. I would highly recommend this experience!
My wife and I loved this class. Veronica shared a wealth of knowledge on how to make salsas. We learned how to make 4 different kinds. It was hands-on which I enjoyed immensely and the result was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the salsa macha.
Veronica is an amazing host and guide; she alone makes this experience top notch. We are still talking about how special this was one day later. Every salsa made was so delicious; we cancelled our dinner plans because we couldn’t stop eating it. Veronica did an exceptional job of explaining everything and making it accessible (for people who are less knowledgeable of cooking / salsas). We absolutely recommend this to anyone! This experience is perfect for people visiting who want to get a real taste of the culture of this city.
This was a great experience. I like at the beginning we went shopping for the ingredients. Really reminds how easy it is to get what you need. The actual salsa making occurs in her apartment so the vibe is comfortable and laid back. I’m not a huge spicy person but I could handle all of them.
