Mae Khachan Hot Spring is the most well-known natural hot spring for travelers who traveling on the Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai route, where you can do a foot soak in mineral water and relax. The hot springs there are totally from nature, of course. They are about 90 degrees Celsius, hot enough for you to boil eggs in the water. Yes, you will have a small breakfast here, delicious, creamy boiled eggs dipped into sauce. The total duration includes traveling time from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.
Wat Rong Khun “The White Temple” of Chiang Rai. Wat Rong Khun, better known as “the White Temple” is one of the most recognizable temples in Thailand. The temple outside the town of Chiang Rai attracts a large number of visitors, both Thai and foreign, making it one of Chiang Rai’s most visited attractions. Wat Rong Khun is a unique temple that stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun.
Wat Rong Suea Ten “The Blue Temple” of Chiang Rai. Wat Rong Suea Ten, better known as the Blue Temple, is a Buddhist temple that stands out from the others because of its sapphire blue color. It is not an active temple, no monks live here. It’s striking, painted in an eye-catching blue with overlays of gold embellishments. The centerpiece inside the great hall is a huge statue of a White Buddha in a sitting position surrounded by contemporary Buddhist art in a modern style.
At Wat Huay Pla Kang, travelers will visit one of Chiang Rai’s most impressive and visually striking temple complexes. The highlight is the giant white statue of Guan Yin (the Goddess of Mercy), which towers over the surrounding countryside and can be seen from afar. Visitors can: • Walk around the temple grounds, admiring the colorful Chinese-influenced architecture and intricate details • Enter the Guan Yin statue and take an elevator up inside (optional) to enjoy panoramic views over Chiang Rai and the surrounding hills • Visit the large red-and-gold prayer hall, beautifully decorated with statues, murals, and traditional Buddhist artwork This stop offers a mix of spiritual atmosphere, cultural insight, and scenic viewpoints, making it a memorable highlight of the Chiang Rai journey. Visit Long Neck Village, travelers will have the opportunity to visit and walk through a traditional Karen (Long Neck) community and learn about their unique culture and way of life. During the visit, travelers will: • Walk around the village and observe daily life in the community • Learn about the history and traditions of the Karen Long Neck people, including the cultural significance of the brass neck rings worn by some women • See traditional houses, handicrafts, and clothing, and gain insight into how the community preserves its customs • Have time to interact respectfully with villagers, take photos (where appropriate), and support the community by viewing or purchasing local handicrafts Entrance fee THB 300 per person is not included. - We only pick up from hotels and accommodations located within the Old City of Chiang Mai or directly next to the Old City walls. If your hotel or accommodation is outside this area, you are required to meet the group in front of the Burger King at Thapae Gate (the eastern gate of the Old City) in Chiang Mai.
- The entrance fee of THB 200 for Wat Rong Khun is not included and must be paid in cash on the day of the tour.
- As our tours run on a group basis, we can wait a maximum of 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. After this grace period, the guide will begin the tour. If you cannot make it on time, please let us know before the tour starts. If possible, we’ll do our best to reschedule you for the next available day, though a rescheduling fee will apply. No refund will be provided in case of late arrival.
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour start time are eligible for a full refund. For cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or in case of no-show, no refund will be issued.
- Our tours operate rain or shine, as tropical rain showers in Thailand usually don’t last long. If it rains heavily, we try to seek shelter and will continue as soon as the weather improves. During the rainy season, it’s a good idea to bring a raincoat or poncho. Please note cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.

We had a wonderful day exploring Chiang Rai, and this tour exceeded our expectations. Every stop was unique—from soaking our feet at Mae Kachan Hot Springs to seeing the incredible White Temple, Blue Temple, and the stunning Guanyin statue at Wat Huay Pla Kang. It was a full day, but it never felt rushed. Our guide, Nancy, was fantastic. She was warm, knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and shared interesting history and cultural insights throughout the trip. She kept everything well organized while making the day feel relaxed and enjoyable. A special thanks as well to our driver, Hero, who was friendly, professional, and made us feel completely safe on the long drive. The vehicle was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly. Excellent tour if you are in Chiang Mai for a few days and want to see the temples in Chiang Rai. The tour was good and they shared the history of each one with us, we also had lunch at a local place to learn more about their culture.
