Visit Wat Lok Molee, one of the older temples in Chiang Mai. It houses a massive chedi enshrining the ashes of several kings and a Lanna style viharn.
Visit Wat Phan Tao, a very old temple inside the old walled city. Its teak wood viharn was originally a throne hall for a Chiang Mai king.
Visit one of Chiang Mai’s most important temples, Wat Chedi Luang. It's located in the ancient walled part of the city. Wat Chedi Luang is also known as the Jedi Luang, and “The Temple of the Great Stupa," which initially consisted of two more temples named Wat Ho Tham and Wat Sukmin, that were all merged into one. Its most prominent feature is the massive and very impressive chedi (pagoda) dominating the area. The chedi was ordered by King Saen Muang Ma to enshrine the ashes of his father.
Then immerse yourself in Chiang Mai’s vibrant Night Bazaar, on the famous Chang Klan Road. Night Bazaar Place is surrounded by the city’s renowned market, restaurants, bars, and boutique shops, just a few steps away.
