Experiment to do. However, they hit you in a tent without telling you. Meal was good. The tagine was good. The couscous lacked juice. Why didn't we get the barbecue? On the app we are told that alcoholic beverages are not included. But you also pay for soft drinks. Then review on trip advisor and indicate no drinks included in the price.
She was better two years ago..this year shortened..bad organization for dinner. Waited a long time to set the table, missing cutlery, glasses....the final was not complete..
Okay, there's a shuttle bus offered in the service. But an hour and a half drive from the Medina and almost the same thing on the way back is really abuse. We eat on tables with people we don't know. Well... At the limit... The show is very "touristic" and did not "bluff" us. In short, very disappointed by this service that had been recommended to us.
My review may be different if we got a show. The food was fine. Beware the performers who are not good, come in while you eat and want tips right on the spot. We had rain, they did not cancel the show but should have offered cancelations. The show was horrible. Men slowly came out on horses and shot a gun 3 times. Then a girl did a short dance and that was it. If they could not do a real show because of the weather, they should have canceled. But they wanted to keep the money and did a poor almost nonexistent show. Very disappointed.
Very disappointed with the meal meat very fat and in small quantity for 9 people couscous bland pity to go to Morocco to be disappointed with the local dishes and dessert a horror decent show
Good pick up to go to the venue, but the meal and show was a bit fast. Otherwise good typical atmosphere.
Fantastic Location, show was a good mix and had a few surprises! Food was excellent, drinks were quite expensive but you do expect that
If I could give 0 stars I would - do not visit Chez Ali if you’re visiting Marrakesh, the whole experience was terrible. Beautiful buildings and scenery. We were sat with 5 strangers and shared a small meal (using our own individual forks to pick up small pieces of lamb) , we were not given clean cutlery or plates between courses. Was offered drinks with no prices charged 200 DH for wine and water. The waiter was reluctant to give us our change. We sat in the restaurant for over an hour with little service. The show itself is around 30 minutes long, random horses charging around, loud gun bangs that obviously were stressing out the animals. A belly dancer on a float with smoke coming out of the exhaust. Randomly a flock of sheep at the end with no idea what was happening. The firework show was two fireworks.. lol The whole experience was laughable and it was a complete waste of money and time. Do not go!!
Not worth time & money. Very disappointed.. Food was below average. Entertainment was only for less than 30 minutes rest time pick-up/drop off & dinner.
If ever you go to, don’t make the mistake of going to Chez Ali! It wasn’t cheap, but we thought what the hell, it will be a bit of fun. We over an hour on the mini bus before we got there, traffic, and picking up other foolish visitors. The journey took longer than we had to eat before the show, longer even than the show itself. The first surprise was the 10 euro a head ‘tax’ (no receipt given) when we arrived. The next was no drink was included at all. The food was poor, fatty tough untrimmed lamb, unappetising overcooked veg and cous cous, a pile of fruit, mainly oranges and grapefruit for dessert and half a glass of mint tea and a biscuit to follow. And the ‘show’, well words fail me, very slowly, loads of gaps some horse men rode around the area, then after more gaps they rode a bit faster and shot their riffles. There were a few stunts, a flying carpet too far away to see, and a belly dancer, again too far away to see anything but the lights on her costume. Ok it is December, but sitting on bare concrete step seating wasn’t brilliant, some people managed to get cushions, perhaps it’s because they didn’t question the ‘tax’ or they gave in to the waiters demand for tips! To be fair there were local musicians trying very hard to build atmosphere during the meal… and offset the obviously fake environment…. But overall… my advice is don’t bother folks.
