We learned so much about the history of cheese. It was a wonderful experience! It was also fun to taste some of the cheese we learned about during the tour.
Walter walked us through the history and now art of cheese making. We learned more in 2 hours than we had learned in our lifetimes. Finished with a cheese tasting and glass of wine. Best experience- a must do!
So educational about the history of cheese and all the processes to age different kinds. Plus the tasting was so unique because of the variety they could offer. Unlike farms where you only get to taste their own kinds. Our tour guide spoke excellent English too!
Take a sweater! The caves are cold. The tour lasts about two hours. Walter is very personable and knowledgeable . We learned about the history of cheese and tasted some delicious cheeses. Loved the experience!
This is a great tour of the cheese cave that Guffanti has. Our tour guide, Martina, was very knowledgeable of the various cheeses and their origin. She was very pleasant to be with and took the time to answer our many questions. The cheese tasting was phenomenal with a great array of different cheeses and a glass of wine. This is a great value for the cost as you learn so much about the making of cheese, where it comes from, and how it all got started. Martina was a great tour guide.
Stresa is a pretty little town with a very nice walk along Lake Maggiore. Many restaurants This is the departure of the boats to the Borromean Islands.
It was fabulous. We learned a lot about how different cheeses are aged. At the end of the tour we were served a wonderful cheese tasting paired with wine.
Wonderful experience learning about a variety of different cheeses as well as the aging process of cheese. Martina was extremely knowledgeable and provided wonderful insight into why cheeses have different flavors and softness. Afterward we had a tasting of different types of cheese at different stages of maturation. Everyone enjoyed the experience. Arona is a lovely town on Lake Maggiore to explore as well. Be sure to go into the older part of town. Highly recommend the experience
Super interesting experience. We've learned a lot. Closing with a tasting. Yeah, sure. Of course we didn’t resist shopping in the shop before leaving
What an amazing experience. It was explained in clear English what they do. It was also told immediately that they only promote the ripening process and that the cheeses come to them from all over the country. Tasting was delicious and the prosecvo tasted good. Fantastic!
