Itinerary
The tour kicks off from outside Gate 1 of La Quila metro station in the heart of the city. Indulge in a bowl of soaked vadas covered in creamy yogurt and topped with pomegranate seeds, something you'll have never seen in any Indian takeaway back home. Your guide will explain local life and give you the lowdown on the foodie scene in Old Delhi. In quick succession, you'll grab a claypot of sweet frothy lasse, before working your way over the finest jalebi in North India.
As you let your food settle, you'll dive into an enormous Sikh temple to take a tour of their 24-hour kitchen which feeds over 30,000 Delhites from all walks of life every single day. Try your hand at chapattis and stirring enormous pots big enough to feed an army. Now it's time to jump into the maze of Old Delhi. Your guide will take you on a walking tour around the narrow streets carefully negotiating passing cows, cycle rickshaws and tiny vendors where you'll stop to try titbits like pani puris, tasty pakoras and stuffed parathas from a little place that's been churning them out for almost a century. If you travel in winter, you may even be able to have a taste of a Delhi specialty - a white mousse-like dish covered in saffron and nuts that's often described as being as fluffy as a cloud.
Your guide will lead you to a secret little restaurant that's got no sign outside, to try one of the best paneer masala curries in the city, before washing it down with a masala lime soda nearby. Continue weaving through the winding back alleys until you hit the fragrant spice market. After a walk and talk about the spices and herbs used in Indian cuisine, it's on to the final leg where you'll try several deserts including a carrot halva and a traditionally Mughal dish made from vermicelli noodles topped with a creamy nutty layer. As you head back, your guide will have a paan made for you - a betel leaf filled with dried fruits, syrups and other good things. An adventurous end to your foodie adventure in Delhi. Meet new-found friends and enjoy local hospitality, as we end the tour with a full-bellied rickshaw ride. You'll be armed with the street food knowledge to continue eating your way through India.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour through Chandni Chowk with Ranveer. He was an excellent guide who made us feel very comfortable with what we were eating and left us with the confidence to try more! He spoke excellent English and was always offering more food if we wanted it. Chandni Chowk can be an overwhelming place but if you treat this tour as your introduction you won’t have any problems visiting again in future. The booking process was simple and the communication before the tour made it easy to find the meeting point. I would highly recommend this tour.
Had a great tour of Old Dehli's food with our guide. Our small group felt safe and well taken care of with an abundance of food from many different vendors. The temple visit was also lovely to have.
We absolutely loved the food tour! Gajendra is an amazing guide; very friendly, interesting and qualified. The food was great, as well as the variety of stalls and restaurants we visited. We also didn't get sick from the street food haha. Would definitely recommend!
Such an amazing experience! Our guide Gajendra was excellent and showed us to many local street food spots. He provided knowledge of many topics related to both Delhi and Indian culture as a whole. We visited a local Sikh temple which was great to see. The food tasted delicious and was hygienic. Highly highly recommend

One of the best visit to try a variety of food options.
Ranveer was the perfect guide. The tastings were great and perfect to share as to not fill up too quickly. He always made sure that we were all together at turns through the market and let us take as many photos as we wish. He also supplied us with water at the beginning which was very much appreciated. He explained each tasting and always asked if we wanted more (which I think we would’ve exploded if we took him up on that). All in all the tour was about 4 hours and I liked that some of the tastings were drinks. You won’t be disappointed in the Delhi food tour at all.
This was a fantastic introduction to the street food of Dehli and to the bustling street of Chandi Chowk. Our guide Ranveer was very knowledgeable & friendly. The food was phenomenal & very authentic. No Dehli belly for us. Highly recommend!
We did the Chef's Tour with Ranveer and it's one of the best things we did in Delhi! My husband and I happened to be the only ones on the tour, so that was nice. The organization was good, they sent email reminders, and Ranveer Whatsapped me on the day with where to meet, and he was on-time and friendly. The whole tour was about 3.5 hours, but we did stop for rain a few times so might usually be shorter. We ventured to places we would NOT have gone by ourselves, as although we toured most of New Delhi by ourselves, we were a bit intimidated by Old Delhi, and in fact most of our Old Delhi experience was from this 1 tour. We visited many different food locations on foot, and finished with a rickshaw ride back to the starting point. Don't fill up too much on the first foods, as there are a lot! We had no stomach problems afterwards, we did make sure to sanitize our hands a lot just in case, but all the food was good quality. All the foods were included in the price so no other costs on the day (except a tip to the guide). We loved visiting the temples, and I got to try making a few rotis at one. It gave us the confidence to visit a couple of other temples in the area as we knew a bit more of what to expect. Also loved the spice markets, and some of the beautiful old doorways Ranveer took us past. We also stopped at a couple of shops, there was no hard sell although I expect they get a commission, we did buy some tea and spices from a shop, but we got in trouble at customs re-entering the US, so be aware that tea and spices might not make it home with you if you get checked! It unfortunately rained heavily during our tour, but Ranveer was really good at judging whether to stop hide from the rain for a bit, or press on when it got less heavy, and checked with us frequently to make sure were happy. Definitely wear closed shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, especially if it's raining, as there were open drains etc. Overall I'm very glad we did this tour, and would recommend it to everyone!
We had a great time in our food tour led by Sanveer. His knowledge and expertise of the area made our day! We got to try plenty of local Indian snacks and meals. All delicious! Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Dehli
