This is a great tour that gives you a chance to learn about and see parts of ancient culture, while also giving you the opportunity for swimming and kayaking in a pristine lagoon! We are a family with 3-thirteen year olds and they loved the tour. Elliot was our guide and he was amazing, a wealth of knowledge and a friendly, awesome person!
This excursion was wonderful. Our guides with The Native Choice were so welcoming, informative and organized. Our time included a good mix of education and relaxation. Lagoon is beautiful. Our 10 and 13 year old enjoyed it as well. Returned to port with plenty of time to spare.
The pick up location is 15 min walking distance from the cruise port, outside of the compound, not convenient. No restroom at the waiting area. The trip was totally 5 hr, half of them on the road. The second location - 7 color lagoon was not that impressive, we didn't see the different colors, probably due to cloudiness. Too windy to do the kayak, nothing to do there except swimming, but a bit cold. Lunch was good, and the tour guides at the Mayan ruins were knowledgeable and friendly.
Had a great time on this tour. Diego was a great tour guide. Enjoyed the ruins and the lagoon. It was a beautiful day when we went. Overall would book again.
Jose led us on an informative tour complete with a stop for lunch and tour around the city. The pickup part was a little confusing but other than that, it was a great day.
We did this tour with Diego and Jesus, and we had such an amazing time. We got a tour with a small group rather than all the buses full of people that came to the ruins from the cruise ship, which made it such a better experience. Diego shared so much knowledge about the Mayan culture and details about the ruins on site and around the rest of central America. The lagoon was so secluded, and the water was so beautiful. We had the most delicious tacos ever, with so many different types to try; it was a highlight of our experience. I highly recommend this tour for your Costa Maya visit!
Very informative tour of ruins. Guides and driver were great! Food at the lagoon was excellent! Overall amazing experience.
No experience. We demand a full refund. We went to the address given and approached 3 kiosks (Touscana, Native Choice, Shore Excursion ). All of them claimed that my name was not in their lists. So we really was not able to enjoy any of these experiences. We demand a Full Refund.
Excellent tour; combines both ruins and beach into one fabulous time; includes lunch and drinks or cocktails
Great tour. Guide Eliot was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and informative. Driver Heriberti was very professional. Highly recommend this tour! Ask for Eliot!!!
