The first place to visit in the Bacalar Lagoon is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. Our next stop is “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, that are known as living stones and are considered the oldest form of life in the planet. The third point to enjoy will be “Black Cenote” which is an open sky cenote and also the deepest point of the lagoon. The final spot to is the Pirate Channel, as you’ll be explained that day, pirates used to enter Bacalar by using this channel to steal local precious wood. You’ll also have a beautiful view of the different shades of blue of the Lagoon.

Note: on Wednesday we visit the beautiful lagoon of Bacalar in a private beach club, where we will also be able to navegate on a pontoon get to admire the 7 colors of the lagoon and make a stop on a sandy beach to enjoy its crystal clear water, meanwhile enjoying and ice cold beer or just refresh yourself with a soda. meanwhile your guide prepares you the unique juicy honey pineapple. Juan was a wonderful tour guide. He took the time to get to know each guest. He gave us snacks, drinks, lunch and more snacks. The lagoons were so pretty. I would recommend this tour to anyone...families as well.

It has been the BEST experience we have had in Costa Maya, Mexico. The staff is very responsible, attentive, and very hospitable. They respected the time we had to be in Costa Maya and dropped us off on time at the port. We are very grateful to Juan Corona and his colleagues Andres and Armando. Excellent people!!!! We had a great experience doing the tour with Adan as he was very knowledgeable and so pleasant to talk to. He made sure we were always enjoying the tour and he is a great asset for the company! We enjoyed the drinks and food that was offered and nothing negative to say, Also the boat captain was very nice and so was our van driver Manny. Highly recommended and remember to tip as they really are great! Thanks for a wonderful family excursion!

The lagoon was beautiful and the guides were very friendly. The “cenote” viewing is rather misleading as I have been to centotes before and we could swim in them and they were so beautiful, so it was a disappointment that all of these so called cenotes were underwater and there was really nothing to see. The grandkids enjoyed the swimming at the end of the tour of the lagoon.

We had a fantastic day going to the Bacalar Lagoon. The water was breathtakingly beautiful, the time we spent in and on the water was so relaxing, and we learned so much about the island from our tour guide, Carol. Our lunch at the Loco Taco Restaurant (included in the excursion) was very tasty too. We had such a wonderful day and we highly recommend this excursion.
