Catalina Island with Altos de Chavon - Full Day All Inclusive
Description
- We will pick you up at your Hotel and start our trip to La Romana. During the trip your guide provides interesting information about the history of the area. - Upon arrival, we will board our Catamaran and depart for Catalina Island. Our first stop on the island will be to snorkel at the famous dive site “The Wall”, a majestic wall of coral that extends from the island to the Caribbean Sea. - After snorkeling, we will continue the way to the beautiful beach of Catalina. Upon arrival, we will have access to 2 kilometers of white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, a beach bar with drinks and a delicious Dominican buffet lunch with barbecue. We will enjoy approximately 3 hours on the Island. - We will board the catamaran around 2:45 PM to return and border the area where the famous have their mansions (Casa De Campo), then we will go by bus to Altos De Chavón, a magnificent ancient Mediterranean-type villa built on a height above the Chavon River.

The tour guide was very good, excellent, spoke several languages and had good disposition as did the catamaran staff. I liked the value for money because it included two activities in one, and both could be enjoyed with reasonable time and includes a lunch that was acceptable. SHADE is needed on Catalina Island. It is a massive experience, many people go, the shade is scarce. I believe in Catalina there must be a better beach because compared to Saona, the beaches of Saona were better by a lot. The snorkeling tour can be challenging because you had to swim against the current, to see more or less the same. Altos de Chavón is beautiful. Nice to meet you. It would improve communication, I had to call and text several times to get the pickup details.
Great experience! While its a long day, you won't regret visiting Altos de Chavon a quaint little place!
We had a wonderful time on our full day tour to Catalina island and Altos de Chavon. We were picked up from the hotel and drove to switch vehicles. Then got into a charger bus to Catalina island. Nathan was a great guide. He taught us a lot on the way. 1st stop was a catamaran where we rode to snorkel. The boat had a slide off the end too if you wanted to do that. A photographer was with the group and he took pics on the boat and during snorkling which you could optionally buy if you want while at the beach which was the next stop. We took the catamaran close to the beach and then a smaller speedboat to the beach. We spent a good amount of time there which was nice. There's a souvineers shop there, option for massages on the beach. The lunch served was very good. Authentic Dominican food. Beach lounge chairs are available to use for free and there's a picnic area for lunch. After that we took the speed boat back to the catamaran and then back to land where we got back to the bus and headed to altos de Chavon. Beautiful picture spot. I recommend the tour. It was about 12 hours all together. Nathan was great!
Great tour and exactly as advertised! Catalina island is beautiful and Altos de Chavón is gorgeous! Would recommend. It’s a long day however :)
