The day begins with pickup from Cancun and the Riviera Maya in a bus or minibus. During the pickup route, travelers will receive a box lunch on board, offering a simple and convenient start before continuing toward Tulum. This first transfer prepares the group for a full day that brings together coastal ruins, cenote swimming, famous Tulum photo stops, regional food, and the vibrant atmosphere of Playa del Carmen.

180 min

The first major visit takes place at the Tulum Archaeological Zone, one of the most iconic Maya sites along the Mexican Caribbean. Travelers will have approximately 2 hours of free time to explore the area independently. During this stop, guests can walk through the ancient city, admire the stone structures, take photos, and enjoy the unique scenery where Maya history meets the Caribbean coastline. This visit is designed to give travelers flexibility, allowing each guest to experience Tulum at their own pace.

180 min

After the archaeological visit, the route continues to Casa Tortugas Cenotes, a natural freshwater area that offers a refreshing change of rhythm. The visit begins with a guided tour through the cenotes, where travelers can learn more about the surroundings and enjoy the natural beauty of these special formations. Guests will have approximately 2.5 hours to swim, relax, take photos, and spend time in the cenote area. This part of the day provides a peaceful and refreshing break after exploring the ruins.

180 min

The experience also includes a visit to the famous Mother Nature sculpture, known as Ven a la Luz, one of Tulum’s most recognized artistic landmarks. This stop adds a creative and photo-friendly moment to the itinerary, showing another side of Tulum beyond its ruins and cenotes. During this section of the tour, travelers will also enjoy a buffet lunch, giving the group time to recharge with local flavors before continuing the route. The itinerary also includes a short stop at the Tulum letters, a classic photo spot where guests can capture a fun memory of their visit to this well-known destination.

60 min

The final visit of the day takes place on Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue. Travelers will have approximately 1 hour of free time to enjoy this lively pedestrian street at their own pace. Guests may walk around, browse local shops, look for souvenirs, take photos, enjoy the music and lights, or simply experience the Caribbean town atmosphere before the return trip begins.

120 min

After the free time in Playa del Carmen, transportation will begin the return route to the hotels. The drive back takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the route and traffic conditions. Great experience!!

This place was beautiful and breathtaking. Definitely worth the money and the time. Our group was big enough to encourage interaction but small enough that you felt comfortable asking questions and felt like you were heard. Luis P. was our guide and he was AMAZING! Definitely recommend!! We were on a family trip and it was very engaging.

I loved the cenote and the day; highly recommended.

We did this tour as a family and had such a great time together. Visiting the Tulum ruins was really special, the views were absolutely beautiful and our guide shared lots of interesting stories without making it feel like a history class. Casa Tortuga was definitely our favorite part. Every cenote was different, and the kids had so much fun swimming and exploring. It was the perfect way to cool off after walking around Tulum. We also loved being surrounded by nature all day, it felt peaceful and relaxing. Everything was well organized, the guides were friendly, and we never felt rushed. It was one of those days we'll always remember, and we're so glad we chose this tour.

An unforgettable day exploring the best of Tulum

This tour was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the day felt well-paced without ever being rushed. We started at the Tulum Mayan site, and seeing the ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide shared fascinating historical context without overwhelming us with too many details — it felt informative yet relaxed. You could tell they were passionate and knowledgeable. The visit to Casa Tortugas cenotes was just magical. Swimming in crystal-clear water surrounded by nature was such a unique experience. Each cenote had its own personality — some more open and sunlit, others more cave-like and mysterious. It felt adventurous but very safe at the same time. Madre Naturaleza was the perfect final stop. The atmosphere was peaceful, authentic, and a great way to connect with the natural beauty of the region. Lunch was fresh and delicious, and the staff everywhere we went were friendly and welcoming. Transportation was comfortable and on time, which made the entire experience stress-free. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a mix of culture, history, and natural beauty in one day. Worth every minute.

Book this tour

My husband and I were not able to join on the date we booked the tour. I was doubting they would let us rebook as we changed the date just 1H before our pick up. My husband got sick and could not get up from the bed. We’re so thankful for the agent who assisted us with contacting the operator and also for the operator for letting us join the tour the next day on such short notice. The tour was amazing. Although we had to switch vans and guide as we were the only ones not speaking Spanish. Our guide, Jenner, was patient in translating the instructions in English for us. The tour was not as long as the one with Chichen Itza. We went to Tulum Archaelogical Site, the Mother Naturaleza Sculpture, Casa Tortuga which had 4 cenotes in it and Playa del Carmen. A little bit of everything in Tulum for only 50 euros. The taxes we had to pay though were more expensive than the tour itself.

Best Tour Experience in Quintana Roo!

The experience was professional from the very beginning. As soon as I booked through TripAdvisor, I received a confirmation message on WhatsApp, followed by clear instructions from the transportation coordinator, including the meet-up location and details on what to bring. On the day of the trip, our tour guide, Maui, was absolutely fantastic—fun, humble, and knowledgeable. He shared historical stories and explained the itinerary bilingually with ease. Thanks to him, I even picked up a couple of Spanish words that day! The tour was perfectly balanced, combining art, historical visits, and activities. Our first stop was Art Me Park, a creative space that not only showcased engaging art but also supports young local artists in developing their skills. This community-focused initiative fosters creativity among the youth and gives visitors a meaningful, artful introduction to Tulum’s cultural heartbeat. We also had an unplanned but delightful stop where we were offered a pineapple melon—a fragrant, tropical-sweet melon reminiscent of pineapple with floral and caramel notes. It was my first time trying it, and it was so delicious! The highlight was a delicious lunch buffet prepared by a Mayan family—it was out of this world. I filled my plate four times and still wanted more 🤤. The Tartuga Cenotes tour included four cenotes, guided by a local expert who gave clear and engaging explanations for the English-speaking group. By the end, the entire group had bonded, which was largely thanks to Maui’s humor, charisma, and ability to make everyone feel connected. I can’t recommend Maui and Chris, our skilled driver, enough. If you want to experience the authentic side of Tulum (or anywhere in Quintana Roo), this is the trip to book. It’s fun, cultural, and truly unforgettable!

Poor customer service

Could not go due to a surgical procedure. Tried to cancel but was 22 hours instead of 24 hours prior to the event. Would not give a refund or credit for a future date. Never again!

Tour is badly run, cenotes and ruins are great

This tour is not at all kid friendly. Everything took way longer than advertised and we didn't get back to the resort until hours later than expected. They only provide one small bottle of water per person. The places we visited were great but they don't give you much time and start hollering if you're a minute late. Most of the day is spent on the bus. They try to cram far too much into one day. Would not recommend. 3 stars because I loved the cenotes and ruins.

Loved the cenotes were super refreshing, and the wonderful ruins, no complaints

An unforgettable experience. Visiting the ruins of Tulum with its stunning ocean view was just magical, and the cenotes... wow! Each had its own charm, from crystal clear waters to mysterious caverns. The guide was super friendly and explained everything with great passion. Definitely a tour I would recommend to anyone visiting the Riviera Maya.
