The Capri tour was excellent. Dominick was our tour guide and he knew everything! He got through everywhere with ease and was so knowledgeable about the area. He took such good care of us!
We made the crossing from Naples to Capri by fast ferry, not hydrofoil. Domenico, our guide, was waiting for us at the pier in Naples. He explained very well how the visit would be, identified us with stickers to know each Service had contracted, we had the food, others the funicular or the boat ride. I hired the food because that was how this package was, I had no chance to choose, but it was not bad the option because the meal in Anacapri was simple (a bruschetta as a starter and then to choose pasta, rice or pizza, I chose ravioli capresi and dessert tart caprese) the restaurant is simple and familiar, quick Service without luxuries but correct. Then we wanted to get on the Anacapri funicular and Domenico got us tickets without queuing. After lunch we got off to Capri on the bus and there we had 1h of free time and then we wanted to turn around by boat (1h) that I recommend. The guide got us the tickets. We were going to get on a "bus" passenger boat, but a classmate asked if it couldn't be a boat. Domenico organized it and we went to another pier to a boat (about 20 passengers) where there were places left and we were accommodated there, it was worth it! I recommend the boat ride and see the farallones and the grottos, not the Azul that was not visitable, but others like Cato Blanca and another coral. Capri is more beautiful from the sea.The city is full and its shops are luxury brands. In Anacapri there are simpler things. Capri is too touristic and overwhelming, so I recommend being just enough if you don’t like such coastal places but if you like the seascapes, going around the island by boat is worth it. Domenico a great guide, very professional, organized and friendly.
A great way to explore Capri and get a taster of the key areas. Would recommend this trip as a first time to see key areas of the island. We had 2 hours in Anacapri, 1 hour in capri and about 2 hours in the port area. Great being picked up and taken to the ferry (avoiding having to navigate the port for tickets etc) and having buses organised. Our guide was very friendly and as had three groups at once did very well at explaining everything and keeping all entertained in different languages. Only feedback would be it would have been nicer to have lunch/food at the last stop as there was more time and was hard to eat both the lunch and do the chair lift (even just 20minutes extra would have allowed a breather) also we didn’t get to see the gardens even though this was noted in the itinerary (imagine just due to time).
We made day trip from Naples to Capri with lunch. The tour was quite poorly organized, once in Capri we had to wait almost half an hour on our bus for it to start at all. Then the food in the restaurant was so bad! I didn't expect gourmet food, but even our company canteen cooks better. Our tour guide Dominic was very good, did his job very well. Finally, I can say the tour was not bad, but definitely not worth the 135€ per person.
Had a wonderful time. The boat ride was very relaxing and THD island was beautiful. Our guides did an amazing job
This was the first time we visited Capri and we wanted to see as much as we could with the one day we had. The trip was very well-organized and the guides kept it moving so that we knew where to go, what to do, and when it was time to move on. From the time they picked us up to the final drop-off in the afternoon, the staff was very friendly and professional. We also had some free time to explore and took advantage of the option to take a boat trip around the island (that was an additional fee). The fee for the trip was reasonable because it also included all the kinds of transportation used in the day. Now that we have had the overview, if we go back, we will know where to go and what to skip. But we will be content knowing that we got to see as much as possible with the time we had in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Thank you for a great day!
I had a really disappointing experience. Our guide would not explain everything to us in English so we were left confused and anxious when things were going wrong. We waited almost 2 hours at the Capri port for a bus in the sun which was extremely frustrating as they were hours we lost. The rest of the day was a rush including only an hour for us to eat our 3 course lunch and explore the town. Considering how much this experience was, overly it was a stressful and frustrating day.
Dear Sirs we understand your point of view but consider that on Capri island in the high season is normal to wait to get transports and above all this service does not depends on our agency. My best regards.
We had a great day and perfect weather. We took the 45 min. ferry over to Capri with the tour. We saw several parts of Capri and there were choices to do the chairlift, boat tour around the island or walk and see the gardens and view and walk/shop around. Lunch was good and Francisco our tour guide was personable. A great overview of Capri if You only have 1 day.
The driver was over 39 minutes late to the hotel. The guide seemed to be bothered when we needed help. This was not the service I was used to with Viator.
Capri is a must see if you’re around the Napoli region, and I do believe that doing this tour is the best value for money, and the best way to see so much of Capri, in such a short space of time, but I have been on this tour twice, and both times were as hectic as each other. Because the tour grams so much in, you don’t get an awful lot of time to spend at each spot, which is a shame, because Capri is beautiful. The guide could have been more informative, and it’s quite chaotic if your in a larger group, but if you’re looking for the most cost effective way to do this trip, then I’d say it’s worthwhile.
