Our day with Chris was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we met him, he made us feel completely at ease, and it quickly became clear that we were in the hands of someone who is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the Cape, its history, its people, and the amazing places we visited. What really set Chris apart was the personal touch he brought to the tour. He wasn’t just guiding us from one stop to the next; he took the time to share fascinating insights, answer all our questions, and tailor the experience to make it truly memorable. His friendly, relaxed nature made it feel like we were exploring with a friend rather than being on a guided tour. The day flew by so quickly that we couldn’t believe when the eight hours were over. Every part of the tour was enjoyable, informative, and perfectly paced. Chris went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, and we left with wonderful memories that will stay with us for years to come. We cannot recommend Chris highly enough. From the moment we set off, his warm personality and great sense of humour put everyone at ease, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. Chris was incredibly attentive, always making sure we were comfortable, engaged, and getting the most out of every stop. His knowledge of the area was outstanding — not just the key highlights, but the history, culture, and those little local insights you simply wouldn’t discover on your own. He shared everything in such an interesting and easy-to-follow way, which really brought each location to life. What stood out most was his charm and genuine passion for what he does. It never felt like a scripted tour — more like exploring with a knowledgeable friend who truly loves where they live and wants you to experience it the same way. We find it a bit pricey but because our youngest son really wanted to see penguins we booked it anyway. Definitely recommended! The guide Peter and Ruth and driver jonny made the long road pleasant and explained a lot about the area. The cape was breathtaking with an optional walking tour where we saw antelope and ostriches.

Highly suggest this tour. Started early in am with our guide Chris. We went out to Hout Bay for our first stop at the harbor. Had a small shopping area with local artists and huge deals which you could get your photo taken with, Our next stop was along road at Chapman’s Peak for some awesome photos. Then on to Cape Point. Walked up to the lighthouse. Again the scenery was awesome and had great photo opportunities. Went back down and left to go to Boulders Beach but along the way discovered Baboons going through a fisherman’s auto (he had left his window open) and the Baboons were looking for food. They are quite aggressive and fairly big. We alerted the fisherman and then went on our way. Our guide Chris suggested going over the boulders at Boulders Beach to see the penguins, so we were all in. Rolled up our jeans and climbed over the boulders and walked in the water which was at high tide. We were all soaked but it was a great experience and saw the penguins up close and personal. Once out if the water, we decided to eat at the restaurant located there to dry out and then headed back into Cape Town. What a beautiful day with friends!
Thank you for the feedback. We are happy you had a great time! Will pass on the feedback to Chris.
We had a great day with Chris. We took a private tour so were able to shape the agenda to our needs. Aside from the typical peninsula attractions, he also took us to the Steenburg vineyard where we enjoyed an MCC tasting. He is knowledgeable about the culture and history of the region. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!
Thank you, it was a great pleasure to be your tour guide.
