Description
Enjoy a three hour cycle tour around the city of Cape Town, led by an experienced local guide. You will have the opportunity to learn about Cape Town's rich heritage and visit the following interesting locations; Noble Square, Bo Kaap, St George's Cathedral, Adderley Street, Cape Town Stadium and Greenpoint Eco Park (entry not included).

Main street of Cape Town
Guests cycle through the Company Gardens stopping to hear the guide discuss the history of Parliament, National art gallery and history museum, statues of previous South African leaders and of course the historic pear tree
Cycle down Chiappini Street the most colourful street of the Bo-kaap the oldest residential area of Cape Town and home to many of the Cape Malay residents.
Cycle past the Cape Town stadium where the guide will relive exciting euphoria experienced by locals at the Football world cup
Stop to smell the fynbos in the Greenpoint Biodiversity Garden, and learn more about the botanical abundance of the Cape Floral Kingdom
We stop at the entrance of St Georges Mall to admire the St Georges Cathedral, NG Moederkerk and a piece of the Berlin Wall
We stop en route outside the walls of the Castle of Good Hope where the guides discuss and shares the history through the ages of the oldest building in South Africa

The way to see Cape Town on your first day. And you get to hear a lot of facts. Unfortunately, the three hours were so up.

Really enjoyed the personalised nature with a guide to answer all my questions. We went into places that I wouldn't have been to otherwise and saw sites close up that I'd never been to even though I'd been to Cape Town before. Very comfortable pace which made me feel safe and secure. Highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed our tour with Vince as our guide. Our route was about 10k in total with plenty of stops over about three hours, with fascinating insights, observations and history at every stop. We saw and learned so much - which just wouldn’t have been possible on a guided walking tour or self guided. Recommended

Phoned up in the morning with no answer but then tried whatsapp and they responded immediately. Really helpful and efficient and sent pic of our guide Amber. Easy to find and park we were briefed and sized for our bikes. Helmets and water bottle (full) included. Amber was really helpful and friendly with good knowledge of the city and its sights. The tour took us all around and was not strenuous - a real way to experience local life. There was a shirt stop in Bo Kaap for a drink and taste of local snacks. We loved it Thanks

We did the bike tour through Cape Town with Awol Tours, booked via Baja Bikes, and it was an absolute highlight of our stay. Our guide, Gareth, truly made the experience exceptional. His relaxed, friendly approach immediately put everyone at ease, and his knowledge of Cape Town, its history, culture and daily life, is impressive. What stood out most was how he shared his stories: engaging, insightful and never rehearsed. Even though we have visited Cape Town no fewer than eight times, this tour was a very welcome and refreshing addition to our trips. Great trip. Good way to see Cape Town - we covered all the main sites. Nice snacks and great guide. Easy cycling and gave a real sense of the city.

Highly recommended! You get a different feel for a city on a cycle. The pace is perfect and our leader, Gareth, is so clear with signals to the cars that you will feel at ease. The route allows you to see a lot in a short time without feeling rushed. It orients you well to the city, gives you great information about history and culture, and gets rid of that sluggish sitting-too-long-on-a-plane feeling!

It is a good way to see Cape Town, although the city is not made for cycling and we cycled next to cars that I found not very safe. You get a small snack that was delicious.
