Itinerary
Pick-up will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00 am and enjoy a fun-filled day starting with a scenic helicopter flight, sightseeing along the Atlantic seaboard and Chapman's peak drive, as well as exploring Boulder's Penguins Colony and the Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point.
Upon arrival at the helipad, V&A Waterfront, you will check-in, enjoy a welcome drink and receive a safety briefing. Thereafter, an experienced usher will ensure that you are safely secured to your seat and assist you with the headphones for live commentary. The helicopter flight duration is approximately 16-minutes. Fly over Cape Town’s scenic City Bowl area, and out over the Atlantic Ocean. Immerse yourself in breathtaking blue-green water stretching past the horizon, interrupted only by the occasional whale or dolphin. Marvel at the majestic Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountain range, rolling down into the sandy white beaches and seaside suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. Enjoy the views of Seal Island before crossing into Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak, one of the most scenic drives in the world. Then you’ll get to experience it all again, as you journey back along the Peninsula to the V&A Waterfront Helipad.
After this amazing experience, you will join your tour guide and board the awaiting vehicle for the rest of your Cape Peninsula private tour. We will take a drive via Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton and stop at Maiden's Cove lookout point in Camps Bay for a photo opportunity.
From there we pass through Llandudno and Hout Bay towards Chapman's Peak drive, stopping at the viewpoint for photos. It is believed that Chapman's Peak is one of the most beautiful drives in the world.
Arriving at Groot Constantia wine estate, guests will taste up to six wines of both white and red cultivars. Steeped in history, Groot Constantia is one of the oldest wine estates in South Africa and has been producing award-winning wines for more than 300 years.
We take a drive down to Kalk Bay where we will enjoy lunch at Harbour House Restaurant with breathtaking ocean views. A 3-course lunch will be served with choices between fresh seafood, meat, poultry or vegetarian options. (Food only) (Drinks at own account)
After lunch we travel to Simon's Town where we will meet the monument of Just Nuisance, the Great Dane Dog who made a name for himself in the SA Navy.
We arrive at Boulders Penguin Colony where we will take a walk on the boardwalk to view the endangered African Penguins colony. Here you will see approximately 2500 African penguins in their natural habitat.
The tour culminates with a tour in the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve and Cape Point lighthouse. We begin by exploring the monuments of Vasco Da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias. Your guide will share the history of the two beacons. You will have a photo opportunity behind the iconic Cape of Good Hope nameboard.
From there we travel to Cape Point where you will take the Cape Point Funicular to the Cape Point lighthouse. Explore the viewpoint and take some photos. Your guide will accompany you to the top of the lighthouse.

The day tour was great overall. Shortly before our agreed pickup we were informed via WhatsApp that our driver Joel is on his way and arrives within 5 minutes. It was called "country-standard car" - it came a Mercedes C-Class. We liked that. First we went to the heliport for the helicopter flight. Here came the first disappointments. I booked and paid for 3 people, but the company booked the "smallest helicopter" which we could not take due to our weight. 3 guys don't weigh as little as the girl in the advertising picture.... So it was more pay..... Have we accepted and got bigger heli.... Unfortunately, when we were shown the flying rod, we realized that it is not a 16-minute flight as advertised, but a shorter one -- well, the company offers 12 minutes (Hopper), 18 minutes (Chapman's Peek), 20 minutes (Robben Island) and 24 minutes (Table Mountain 360) as well as 42 minutes (Cape Point). Not 16 we paid for. So the next disappointment. Since we felt 12 minutes (booked by the organizer the Hopper Tour) too short, we pulled through the credit card again to stay in the air longer... But it was worth the money, and good that it works. Then we drove south, stopped at Clifton Beach, Chapman's Peak, went down to the Cape of Good Hope. When we wanted to take pictures Joel always stopped and told us about the place. We continued to Boulders to see the penguins. Instead of in Harbour House Restaurant we had something to eat nearby (3 courses), Joel organized with the agency because we were more than 1 hour behind schedule. It was very delicious, we didn't manage everything. Then we went on to the last highlight - wine tasting (5 different wines were available). We successfully completed these and now we went back to the hotel. Overall, it was a very well organized day trip, we saw a lot in one day, well clocked, once in a while you would like to stay in one place longer, but we wanted to see EVERYTHING in one day and it has despite delay (wg. Heli clarification) works well. Thanks again to our driver Joel. The only shortcoming was the helicopter flight, so we felt a bit fooled. Book the cheapest package, presumably knowing that it doesn't work "weightwise" and make us hot for 16 minutes of pleasure, knowing that this length doesn't exist.. Therefore 4 out of 5 points.
