Itinerary
Pick up will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:30am, but should you prefer a time either earlier or later, please advise and we will gladly accommodate this. After pick up your guide will take a drive through the city centre to show you important monuments and buildings and share stories about their history.
We will stop in the Bo-Kaap, also known as the Cape Malay Quarter, where you will have the opportunity to take photos with the colourful houses and learn more about their historical meaning. Please remain next to your tour guide and keep your belongings with you.
Table Mountain cableway is our next stop. Here you will use your ticket you purchased online to skip the ticketing line, and move directly to the cable car line. Explore one of the Seven Wonders of Nature and see Cape Town from new heights.
Upon your return from Table Mountain, we proceed along the Atlantic Seaboard and pass through the beautiful coastline of Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove where will will have the opportunity to take some of the most spectacular photos, with the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach as a backdrop.
Upon our return from the boat cruise or shopping in Hout Bay, we will travel along one of the most beautiful drives in the world, Chapmans Peak Drive. Feast your eyes on endless sparkling ocean, as we stop at the viewing point to take some of the most amazing photos.
An optional stop for some of the best coffee this side of Cape Town will be on offer for those who enjoy a cup of coffee at the Village Roast.
Arriving at the Cape of Good Hope, we will enter into the southmost western tip of the African continent. Get ready to take your picture in front of the iconic Cape of Good Hope name board. Your guide will share stories about the historical Diaz and Da Gama monuments as you explore the "Cape of Storms".
Cape Point is an absolute wonder to experience. The landscape and natural vegetation will leave you starry-eyed and wonderstruck. Here you may opt for a short 15 minute hike to the Cape Point lighthouse or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular instead of walking. Peak through the telescope and view amazing sights. Lunch options are available at either the Two Oceans Restaurant for a sit down seafood lunch with panoramic views of the ocean, or a take-away from the informal eatery, both at Cape Point.
Simon Town is the navy capital of Cape Town and most importantly the home to the African penguins. Come spend time with the cutest penguins you will see. The boardwalks give you broad exposure to what life is like for the little penguins, it is an absolute treat and definitely a good way to have your penguin encounter at Boulders Penguins Colony.
St James and Muizenberg are two of the best beaches in Cape Town and found on the coast of the beautiful False Bay. Step out at St. James to take a photo with the colourful beach huts.
After a beautiful day out in the Cape Peninsula, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 18:00pm.

We took the Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain & Penguins Tour in Cape Town, South Africa on May 11, and what started as a very stressful morning turned into one of the most memorable days of our trip. The weather was terrible. A major storm had started the day before, and I was extremely worried because we had booked this tour months in advance. I contacted the activity provider several times asking about cancellation because of the rain and high winds. They explained that the parks were still open, even though Table Mountain had closed because of the storm. I was frustrated and upset and even called Viator very angrily that morning. Thankfully, our driver and guide, Mo, completely changed the experience for us. Mo was absolutely outstanding. He was calm, kind, encouraging, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Since Table Mountain was closed, he even offered alternatives like a museum or winery visit. Despite the cold weather and heavy rain, he made sure we still had a wonderful day. My best friend encouraged us to stop worrying and just enjoy the experience — and I am SO glad we did. Seeing the penguins and visiting the Cape of Good Hope in dramatic stormy weather actually became unforgettable. There were four of us — my best friend, our husbands, and me — and we travel the world together. This tour ended up being one of our favorite memories from Cape Town. We had only 3 days in our visit in Cape Town and we are super happy to have booked this private full day tour. Ray our guide was very accommodating as we wished to have some changes for our tour. We went up to Tablw Mountain with him and for sure got the best views before rush hour as he suggested an early departure. Bo-kaap and other city center sights were included before we head out to Cape Point area to see everything possible from Simonstown penguins to Cape of Good Hope and Cape point. Lots of photo stops and plenty of interesting infomation in clean safely driven vehicle. A day we really enjoyed!

This tour covers the basic for a first visit to Cape Town, especially if you have just one day for tourism. Very good visit to the whoel peninsula as well as Table Mountain. The guide is amaziong, has shared a bunch of interesting information and has been amazingly knowledgeable. Full day. Lots of history, learned a lot. Alex was very friendly & knowledgeable. Would have liked more time on Table Mtn & going on Boulder beach ( didn’t have our ticket as driver got us in and left us wandering for a bit) We probably should have voiced this more so partially our fault. Ruben is an excellent tour guide. we had a fabulous day of sightseeing at Table Mountain abd the cape. At Boulder Beach we had great fish and chips along the sea. When you plan know that if you dont upgrade your ticket for cable car at Table Mountain for the fast pass the lines will be at least 45 minutes extra to go up. We had opted fir extra when we signed up so all tickets prepaid and thought it included the fast pass but it did not soe we upgraded when we arrived. Highly recommend fast pass. Wonderful day.

Excellent tour and very accommodating tour operator. First off, our cruise ship departure time was moved ahead from what had been originally indicated, because of South Africa told the ship when they wanted it to depart. So, after exchanging messages with the operator, our start time was moved ahead. Then the weather forecast leading up to our tour date indicated high winds starting in the afternoon, which we expected would shut down the cable car ride up to the top of Table Mountain. This was a concern, as this part of the tour was going to be the last item. So, still a little earlier start, but the order of events was changed so that we were able to get everything in. Only negative I have, and this is no reflection on the operator, was that the visit to Boulder's beach to view the penguins was a bit disappointing. We were under the impression that people were allowed to actually swim with the penguins, so were expecting to actually walk on the beach with them. Viewing was limited to a raised boardwalk. In light of the pressure on their continued survival, I can understand separating us humans from the birds, but it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. In two other global locations we did actually walk and swim among penguins. Our driver Roland was excellent.
