This is a tour which combines history - as travelers are taken through the history of South Africa. The arrival of the Dutch until the introduction of apartheid in 1948 by the architect of apartheid Hendrick Verwoerd. This tour takes travelers via the Atlantic Sea Board where there are several Blue Flag beaches. This area is home to the most expensive residential properties in South Africa. Travelers will also drive through this jaw dropping landscape with its dramatic mountains. Travelers also see the wild animals like the African Baboons,wildbeast and the bontebok among others. Penguins and the Rock Hyrax are also part of the nature seen on this exciting tour. The amazing fynbos vegetation covers the whole area on the Cape Peninsula Tour. This beach has pure white sand and there are many breathtaking photo stops.
A place of same scenic views named after Lundudno in Wales due to their similarities. This is also home to one of the blue flag beach and some properties owned by international celebrities. It is also home to the only nude beach - Sandy bay located in a beautiful setting with attractive boulders.
This quaint village is home to the biggest fishing industry in Cape Town. And a visit to seal island can bring you face to face with over 5 000 seals at any one time. This place also offers travelers an opportunity to take a brief walk about at the harbor while they shop art and craft. This is also the place of the freshest fish and chips in Cape Town with a fish processing factory at the harbor. Travelers can also grab a cup of coffee from the several coffee shops around.
This is a spectacular scenic drive with 114 curves stretching for almost 10km. It has several photo stops and is home to "The most popular accident in Cape Town". It has jaw dropping views all the way from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. In winter there is a high probability that travelers can see whales. This scenic drive which at times is hanging from unsupported cliffs with boulders on top is a marvel and a wonder to the travelers. Coming to the end is one of the blue flag beaches The Long Beach or Chapman's bay with pure white sand. The view of this beach is simply stunning. One of the most unspoiled beach far from from huge crowds.
This is an unspoiled old village with holiday homes. It is a place covered under mist probably 80% of the time in a year and is also home to kite surfing. In the same location is a Department of Sea Fisheries Research Station. This is also a very popular spot for kite surfing surrounded with picturesque mountains.
This is also another small village with holiday homes and a single pub for the locals and travelers. A popular place especially during the World Cup in 2010. It does have a small beach and is surrounded by an amazing fynbos vegetation. Rich in marine and birdlife this is a small and unspoiled location.
This is a place with is farming Ostriches and has a shop with amazing Ostrich products. It also has tortoises and other small creatures. Travelers can opt to take pictures of the ostriches from the farm and also visit the store which has quiet q wide range of ostrich products. From your leather belt, shoes, handbags and a whole lot of accessories.
Travelers will explore this Nature Reserve with eight World Heritage Site accolades from UNESCO. It is also a place with over 1 000 plant species. Travelers will also see two lighthouses and is the site of several shipwrecks. Cape Point has the most powerful lighthouse on the South African coast with a range of 60 to 70km. Breath the air at Cape Point which has been declared to be among the purest in the World hence it is home to one of the Global Research Watch's (GAW) atmospheric research station. Cape Point is also home to the World War 2 Radar listening research stations. Travelers can also use the Funicular to get to the Lighthouse. In this Nature Reserve is Cape of Good Hope Hope - The most South Western tip of Africa. There is also amazing wildlife like the Chacma Baboon, the Wilderbeast, the bontebok, the Rock Hyrax, Tortoises and much more. Cape of Good Hope is one of the major attractions in this location. Breathtaking views of the cliffs and marine life welcomes you.
Travelers will see the African Penguins from a choice of two locations. Travelers can wander close to the penguins along the boardwalk that takes them to Foxy beach. Here travelers get so close within a touching distance of the penguins but are not allowed to touch or interfere with them. This gives the travelers a great photo opportunity up close The other option is at Boulders' beach where travelers are allowed to swim with the penguins. In this nature reserve its quiet common to come across the Rock Hyrax popularly known as the Dasy.
In this town travelers will see Warships since it is home to the SA Navy. It is one of the oldest settlements established soon after the arrival of the Dutch in 1652. This settlement has its main road declared a National Heritage thus all the structures in the main road cannot be altered so as to maintain their historical feel. Travelers will also see many fishing boats as this is the place of the second fishing industry in Cape Town after Hout Bay.
Time permitting this is an optional activity. This is one of the most popular beaches in Cape Town also on the blue Flag Status list. It is the beach which has colorful wooden house and lots of jelly fish. At this beach kids learn how to surf. And there are several surf shops where from surfers can hire surf boards and other equipment. This is a beach where locals flood during the summer festive holidays giving the travelers the opportunity to mix and mingle with the locals. There are several restaurants and coffee shops a t this popular beach.
This is the prison where Nelson Mandela spend part of his 27 years of imprisonment. This is one of the most dangerous prisons in South Africa as it houses some of South Africa's most dangerous criminals - gangsters. This is a maximum security penal facility that continues to hold some of the most dangerous criminals from South Africa
This is an upmarket residential area in Cape Town neighboring the Constantia wine region. In this place is Groot Constantia the most visited winery in South Africa. It is one of the three wineries which used to be a single winery owned by the first Governor of the Cape Simon van der Stel who produced the first wine in South Africa before the arrival of the French Hugenotes.
One of the most affluent residential areas in Cape Town. This place is home to all the Anglican Archbishops including the current Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu hence the name Bishop's Court.
This leafy suburb is home to the Newlands Rugby and Cricket grounds. The South African President house - Genadendal is also located here.
Travelers will see the university currently rated the best in Africa. Built at the foot of Table Mountain on a piece of land donated by Cecil John Rhodes to the city of Cape Town. This institute of higher learning has a student population of over 28 000 students with slightly over 10% being international students.
Travelers will see this historic hospital which was the first to carry out a human heart transplant in the world in December 1967. It was carried out by Dr Christian Barnard and a team of 12 other doctors.
This is the place which experienced forced removals as from 1968 as the area was declared to be whites only by the Government of Apartheid in 1966.
