Camel Ride around the Pyramids During Sunrise Or Sunset

This is a fun experience but riding a camel is not the same as riding a horse. Riding a camel jostles you a great deal more than with a horse. You have to hang on tightly with both hands to the wooden saddle horn. At times you could feel like you are slipping off. We had a 4:30 pm pick up time which would have allowed us to start our ride as the sun was setting, however, they didn’t pick us up until 5:10 which meant we were riding in the dark with only minimal lighting from the surrounding space. Definitely would have been better with more light.

I had such an amazing time! Ahmed Mataro was excellent, made me feel comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommend.

The operator was nice and so was the young guide (15 y.o) that helped us mounting / dismounting the camels and took us up the dunes to see the beautiful Panasonic views of the pyramids from afar. We did not go around the pyramids as described. The whole trip lasted less than an hour under the hot sun at 110 degrees heat.

Camel ride was less than one hour, we paid for two hours for $88 not worth your money. Also it was far from the pyramids.

It always was my mom's dream trip to go to Egypt to see the Pyramids. Unfortunately, she had an injury right before we made the trip, so we were worried we weren't going to be able to experience the Pyramids as planned. With the help of our guide Sayed Mahmoud and our driver Hosam, we were able to experience everything and more! They came to our hotel with a very spacious air-conditioned van, allowing my mom to lay down during the drive. They assisted us with so much care with everything. We went inside the great pyramids, which really was an unforgettable experience. Since we were so happy the first day, we booked an additional tour to the Pyramids of Dashur, Memphis and Sakara for another day, which was again, a perfect day, seeing the oldest Pyramids of Egypt, learning so much from Sayed.
