Unfortunately we will miss out on seeing the new museum nonetheless this museum was definitely the biggest highlights of our Egypt trip! The museum manifests a tapestry of rich history one cannot simply take it in all at once. We went with a tour guide and I must say I was somewhat disappointed. It was rushed and I felt we missed out on a lot! We visited the museum just after our visit to King Tut’s tomb, so we were keen to see his artefact collection. But that wasn’t the only thing we wanted to see. The museum had a lot pieces from old, middle and new kingdom. An interesting part of the museum is the mummified animals section.
