After the market, switch to a small sampan to explore quiet back canals, stop at a family rice-noodle workshop to watch the craft and taste it fresh, and—if you wish—take an easy bicycle ride along village paths to meet people where they live and work. With expressway transfers, hotel pickup, and small-group or private options, you spend less time on the road and more time experiencing the real Delta.

We take a boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the most famous and biggest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. From the early morning, a countless number of boats and sampans will gather here, making the whole area livelier and more stunning than ever. While the large boats are full of farm products and specialties, such as vegetables, grapefruit, coconut, banana, watermelon, dragon fruit and rambutan, small ones mainly focus on selling foods, coffee, light snacks, Vietnamese noodles, soft drinks, etc. for breakfast. It would be regretful if you could not drop by and purchase something here. • After that, our tour guide takes you to some traditional workshops. You have great time learning how locals make “Hu Tieu”. The talented chef – Gordon Ramsay, once exclaimed that the bowl of noodles he ate at Cai Rang Floating Market has one of the best broths he has ever tasted.
We relax on a rowing boat and go through the mangrove palm canal to feel the real peaceful atmosphere of Mekong Delta, even know more about locals’ lifestyle when joking with friendly rowing women. Beside that is the time of enjoying the melody of South Vietnam folk music.

This is a long day with unfortunately too much time spent on a mini bus . The 4.20am start was not worth what we experienced Nothing seemed to connect we were off and on different boats to see things which were mainly to encourage you to buy from the locals . Breakfast on the river juggling a bowl of soup was an experience in itself Lunch however was excellent count fault that at all All in all the day dragged .

We had a very good day with our guide Jacky, very friendly guide bringing a lot of precise knowledge about the country. Jacky was very available and listening to our requests , many discoveries about this day which started very early but yet very well paced otherwise very good lunch and very good French of our guide We highly recommend Jacky

It was a very varied program through which we were clearly and enthusiastically guided by our tour guide Tina. She was so involved and told with such a nice positive energy. Nice to get tasty tastings everywhere, between the delicious breakfast and the fantastic lunch. All very well cared for a very tasteful. With good explanation and guidance on the do things. Tina received a spontaneous applause at the conclusion. Very cool and because of her energy!

I did the Cai Rang Floating Market Day Trip from Ho Chi Minh City and it was absolutely incredible. I was able to book a private tour (just for me) and had Jen as my Spanish-speaking guide.
