Finally your Storyteller will tell you Hungarian folktales and vampire stories and chronicles of the 19° century. Away from the crowds of Pest, this informative and entertaining tour, guided by a professional actor in period costume, takes you to some of the charming, magical places of the city: the Buda castle courts. This activity is an immersive storytelling experiences about legends, mythology, dark medieval history, tales and folklore. The tour is more ideal for adults and youth. If you wish to bring your children, they can go for free (up to 6 years old).

Visiting one of the most beautiful lookout to the Danube river while stopping and listening to histories of old Hungary.
We’ll stop at the majestic terrace with the equestrian statue of prince Eugene of Savoy, one of the most successful military commanders in modern European history. You will listen to more histories while taking the possibility to take photos from the top of the hill.
Stopping by one of the courts of the Buda Castle, admiring the fountain of King Matthias and the surrounding palaces lit after dark, while listening to tales of vampires and dark folklore.

There were simply too many people in the group. While the guide did her best to project her voice, it was very difficult to hear her. Even when standing close, there was significant background noise from loud music, the fountain, and children crying , making it challenging to follow the tour. I would recommend using a microphone or audio amplification system to ensure everyone can clearly hear the guide.
Guide Peter was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was a little too detailed for our liking but for some this may not find this an issue. The amount of tales was amazing but maybe provided us with too much background information. There are quite a lot of steps at the first part of the walk so be aware, although it does mention in the description that you can miss the start of the walk and use the funicular.
Such an exceptionally fun experience! Sigmund was our guide. His story telling and delivery of the information made our tour very enjoyable. We loved it!

There are a lot of steps at the beginning, but our guide stopped often and made sure everyone had gathered before starting his story.

Fabian was a fantastic guide! We did this tour on a very hot evening and everyone was feeling the effects of the heat, but he kept the enthusiasm, energy and theatrics going from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely lovely, and shared some fantastic stories throughout the tour. Despite the challenging weather, he did his absolute best to make sure everyone had a great experience. He also gave us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the spectacular views of Budapest at night. A really enjoyable tour with a brilliant guide
We had a wonderful time on this tour (even with lots of stairs) Our tour guide was fun and kept us interested. The stories are GREAT and Budapest at night is a must see! I would do this tour again!!
Enjoyable experience with plenty of walking so wear comfortable footwear , the guide gave plenty of info on the tour with some humour whilst showing us around the castle grounds
Very fun experience! Loved that we got to see a lot of the beautiful castle, and our guide, Fabian, was entertaining all the way! Some of the stories could probably be a bit shorter, though much of the history is very interesting. Would recommend to anyone who visits Budapest!
